Dr. Harake is an amazing surgeon. I had a breast reduction and the results were unbelievable. He is a perfectionist and made sure my results were better than I can ever have imagined. The entire staff at the Harake Institute deserve the highest rating possible.

BOTCHED Breast surgery by Dr. Mazen Harake!!!!

After having breast revision surgery done by another doctor who was not Board Certified I lost all faith and trust in Doctor’s. I felt I was doomed to live with the messed up breasts that I now had. I had been chastised by Medical Professionals as well as friends for NOT using a Board Certified Doctor so when Dr. Harake (who just very recently got his Board Certification) told me that he could fix the mess that I had been left with by the other surgeon. He was charming and kept reassuring me that IT WAS CORRECTABLE… WHAT A JOKE!!!! I allowed Dr. Harake to perform a Breast revision in March 2017 that included fat grafting (instead of implants) and he was to reduce the size of my areolas as they were still the size of silver dollars (huge on a woman that only weights 112 pounds).

The surgery seemed to go well until the steri-strips came off about 3 weeks later and I discovered that my right areola still seemed to be the same size but it was obviously removed and stitched back on, my left areola was smaller than the right (but not by much) and was miss-shaped, instead of being round IT WAS OVAL!

I immediately complained to Dr. Harake and he kept telling me that it was ok/would be ok when the swelling went down. BULL CRAP… it is now 1 year later and I still have one areola that is way larger than the other one and one that is oval. To add insult to injury I developed severe scarring but only around the Right areola (thick scarring with a star burst pattern). Plus I only retained about 20% of the breast volume from the fat grafting so now my breasts are drooping again. I QUIT…. I WILL NEVER TRUST ANOTHER DOCTOR to touch my breasts again!!!

I used to think that Dr. Harake was a caring talented Doctor, Now after having him perform several surgeries and only having the liposuction be done correctly, I have completely changed my opinion of him. He is kind to you until you start criticizing his work then he becomes defensive and blames YOU for EVERYTHING that went wrong (I was told by him that I lost weight, did not wear my garments, started doing to much too soon… funny thing was I gained 5 pounds because the surgeries laid me up for over a month and it took over 6 months before I could even lift a gallon of milk. As far as the garments went I worn those things exactly as I was instructed even though they were the most uncomfortable things on earth… I still did as instructed by him).

He will charm you into a false sense of security, take your money then when your surgery goes wrong he will blame YOU for the results! I spent $23,000.00 for him to make me look WORSE that I did BEFORE he ever took a scalpel to me. I know that I am not the only one that has had problems with the surgeries that he has performed, nor will I be the last…. All I can say is if you are going to have surgery PLEASE choose a doctor that is properly qualified, they are out there, but Dr. Harake in my opinion from looking at my body and the work he has done on it, he IS NOT qualified to perform Face Lifts, Rhinoplasty, Breast Surgery or Tummy Tucks!

I would not recommend Dr. Mazen Harake to ANYONE NOW – not even my worst enemy!

Recently, my primary care physician referred me to Dr. Mazen Harake's office for reconstructive breast surgery. From my first conversation with Angela, the patient coordinator/office manager and undeniable Renaissance woman, to the present, I have been given a level of care and compassion typical of that extended to a family member. Dr. Harake and Angela are the yin and yang of this practice, working in perfect harmony to ensure that the trust a patient like myself (a senior citizen quite reluctant to rush to the OR) places in them is well-deserved whether it be at the initial consultation, pre- or post-operatively. Not only is Dr. Harake a consummate professional, but he is also an extraordinary and gifted surgeon who fully capitalizes on his training in general surgery, plastic surgery, and aesthetic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Harake utilizes 3-D technology that fully enabled me to visualize my post-surgical results. While I am still in the healing stages, I unquestionably know that Dr. Harake has helped me achieve my aesthetic goals, but, more importantly, he has restored a level of health that I haven't had for over thirty years.
