Emergency surgery. My life was in his hands. The surgery went well. I am left so traumatized by interactions with him that I wish I had died instead. This seems hyperbolic to describe his bedside manner, and I would attribute my opinion to a reaction I had to the conscious sedation I had during surgery, but my husband—a very calm man with an understanding of medical practices and providers—was also negatively affected by his interactions with Dr. Kalcich. If you have any choice at all, I would recommend choosing someone else as a quality of life issue.

Dr. Kalcich is a fabulous surgeon. He took care of my mom's emergency with knowledge and precision, and sat down with my entire family and explained everything that happened patiently, in detail, answered every question tossed at him, and had an excellent bedside manner throughout the duration of her healing process. Very highly recommend!
