This is the worst dentist I have ever been to. The cleaning that I got at his place was also shady. I was charged for deep cleaning and the hygienist performed a regular cleaning.
Dr Hivand suggested I replace two crowns on two of my teeth. The first one was worst than the one I initially had, so I had to go twice to have it delivered. My other tooth, he put the wrong type of crown in and I was having a lot of pain. When I complained about it, he said that is the wrong type of crown and I needed a porcelain one. While he initially said he would do it for free, at another appointment he asked for $75 extra. With this being said, nobody followed up for more than 2 months to deliver my crown so I have been walking around with a tooth split in half. I also don't care for his bedside manners and the fact that his hand is not gentle while performing treatments. I think he drilled my tooth way too much and how I have this big whole that needs to be covered.

BEWARE!
Dr Havand destroyed my teeth. I have had to wear braces for 3 years so far to correct the damage. A lawsuit is pending

This place was very nice.
Everyone supplied detailed information with everything.
5 stars in customer service.
They even gave me a discount. Very compassionate and understanding of them to do that considering that we didnt make much money, and didn't have health insurance! Thank you guys!

I very much enjoyed going to this dentist. He's friendly and has a very mellow but professional attitude. I did not have dental insurance so he gave me a huge discount on dental work I needed.

I would not even give one star if that was available. Schister, rip off. Puts the fear of God in to you. Preys upon you. Run the other way! Went to Jeff Gray in La Mesa, he is great.

I wrote a review last week about my 91 year old father paying for his procedure in advance. I can't figure out how to edit the review, so I will write another for now. It turns out my dad did have some dental work done the day of the credit card charge. After calling the office several times, I was able to speak to Danielle who will reverse the balance of the charges on my dad's card. 😄

Dr. Houman Hivand, i'm sorry to say, is not professional and takes peoples money up front w/o completing the work. This just recently happened when one of my family members found his office in an advertisement to recieve crown work. What a nightmare! Work was never completed due to Dr. Hivand- 'kicking' her out of the office, because of her complaining about the pain she has been in. I'll never recommend this office for dental work to any of my family or freinds.
