The staff is at this office is friendly and helpful, but the doctor is so full of himself he thinks he's a God. He doesn't listen, and talks over me. When I complained about side effects to the drugs, he told me, "You think you know your body." Yes. I believe I do, ex doctor. If you're a woman, stay away from this narcissist. If you're a man, you'll probably fare better.

Terrible bedside manners. Seems uncaring. Choose another doctor.

He got into an altercation with me regarding race. It was his opinion that a certain group of people did not exercise, however, he used a Caucasian woman as an example of someone who ran marathons, exercised, and so on and so forth! I found him to be extremely arrogant, argumentative, and braggadocious with his comment, 'I eat a lot of salt and it doesn't bother me'! Ok. I can't due to HBP, so what was the point? I refused to return to him. My question is, why does Mills tolerate such doctors that give them a bad name? I no longer have anything to do with Mills thanks to some of their doctors!

Dr. Kurzrock may be knowledgeable, but he comes across as incredibly arrogant. He actually looked at my lengthy list of medications and said he wished he owned stock in these companies. It was the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to me. This happened at least a year ago and it still bothers me. He’s been my cardiologist for a couple years now, but I’m going to find a different one going forward. An attitude like that doesn’t give me confidence that he has my best interests in mind.

overall, an unprofessional doctor, billing me for a "bumped into you at a hospital" consultation for several hundred dollars. Poor attitude, and definitely someone I would avoid personally AND professionally. Terrible bedside manor, and really seemed to be fishing for consultation money. Felt like a medical version of an "ambulance chaser".

Dr. Kurzrock saved my life. I arrived in the ER with an emergency Pulmonary Embolism. (Multiple showers of PE.)He was decisive, accurate, bold in his treatment. He gave me TCP, performed a thrombectomy, and afterwards monitored my progress. After I was released from the hospital he ordered a number of blood tests to determine the cause/s of the PE. Based on the findings, he ordered a lifelong course of Warfarin. I had second opinion (Stanford) which confirmed his diagnosis. Dr. Kurzrock followed my case closely for the first year. I have continued to see him for a routine checkup 2x a year and I am doing well.

Dr. Kurzrock treated my mother. He is knowledgeable but lacking in communicative skills. He is abrupt, curt and, in general, not very nice. Be careful.
