Great doctor - punctual, GREAT staff, knowledgable... he knows his stuff! Husband broke his ankle and tore 3 ligaments; Dr Rutledge repaired his ankle in emergency surgery and had him walking in a cam-walker in just a few weeks. His ankle is healing very well. We would recommend Rutledge to anyone!

This guy may be fine for your run-of-the mill fractures and such but do not trust him with more advanced cases. I sustained a severe femoral fracture after being hit by a car. Initially the good Dr. told me I would be walking in a couple of months. Six months later, I'm still not walking and he had no real course of treatment. After getting a second opinion at Mayo, it was determined I needed a bone graft since the whole time my bone had not been healing whatsoever. When we went back to Rutledge, he acted as if that would have been his next step. When was he going to suggest that - a year later?! Dr. Rutledge should have referred me to a sub-specialist from the start but his ego and small mind prevailed. Really, I think he's in violation of the Hippocratic Oath. He sure didn't put my best intersts at heart....I wouldn't take a wounded animal to this dork!
