# User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars by Heather 01/20/2011 Dr. Rakoff has made our dreams come true. I have high FSH and low AMH and I'm 39 years old. We really had very little hope that I could get pregnant using my own eggs but Dr. Rakoff worked with me and my husband and tried different protocols and I am now happy to say I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Other fertility doctors wouldn't have spent the time on my case and would have immediately recommended donor eggs, but Dr. Rakoff really worked with us and we are so grateful. The staff at San Diego fertility are also amazing!

We worked with Dr. Rakoff on two occasions. On both occasions we found him to be an honest, up front doctor that gave us fair and uninflated answers to our situation. He told us the odds and was very frank from the very beginning. When we worked with him in La Jolla the service was not as satisfactory as when we worked with him at San Diego Fertility. San Diego Fertility is a beautiful and organized environment and having Dr. Rakoff there was an extremely positive experience. We found Dr. Rakoff to be knowledgeable with our questions and sympathetic to our situation. The staff at San Diego Fertility is exemplary and made a very emotional and stressful experience extremely positive and supportive. I would suggest Dr. Rakoff and the facility to our friends and family.

I had a horrible experience and am going to a new doctor who offered me an eye opening second opinion. He didn't diagnose a uterine septum I had which I have had removed since by someone else and my new doc said it could have hindered my chances at getting preg by about 30-50 percent. His drug protocol is very standard (never tried flare protocol with me ). Most eggs retrieved with him were 8. He told me I was a low responder and to consider egg donors. My new doc changed my drug protocol and we got 20 eggs. He also "forgot" to call us on our last cycle with him, and we came in for our embryo transfer appt , waited two hours in the transfer room undressed, before somebody noticed we were there and told us, oh by the way, the embryo was no good so go home. This is just the highlights of many problems we had with this office.
