I was a patient of James Gallant, M.D. until I realized he was incompetent and did not follow standard medical protocols with myself and Clarietta Day. The Oregon State Medical Board found that Clarietta Day, 78, was given a lethal injection without her knowledge or consent. The injection paralyzed her breathing. In the hours before her death, the board discovered that Day was given massive doses of painkillers, had a magnet applied to her pacemaker in an effort to shut it off, and was taken off life support. Those measures were in violation of her apparent wish to be kept alive for at least 48 hours before such a decision, the board said. He is disgusting and should not be allowed to practice medicine.

I was treated in the past by these doctors and physician assistants. The Oregon State Medical Board concluded that Dr. James "Jim" Gallant, a doctor from Corvallis, euthanized one of his female stroke patients without her consent. I was a patient of Gallant's until he was audited for over-prescribing narcotics to myself and other patients. When I complained, he threatened me with a DUI, but he was the one arrested and convicted of driving under the influence of drugs while on his way to his hospital duties. In the Oregon State Medical Board records is a personal letter from a female medical doctor who was romantically involved with and abused by Dr. James Gallant. Obviously, I would never recommend this doctor to anyone, as he is one mistake away from losing his medical license not to mention the fact that he is incompetent. I was also treated by Dr. Hands, MD., Sean Greene, PA, and Eric Stroud, PA, all of who have been involved or supportive of Dr. James Gallant's substandard medical care.

In my experience, Dr. G is an excellent doctor. He treats his patients like we have brains and use them; can always get in the day I call if I feel it is important; Dr. G is honest and straightforward and delivers bad news directly yet compassionately. I have also had wonderful experiences with the PAs I have seen in Dr. G's office. My only complaint is that since the office moved (last month), there's no parking.

The physicians assistant I saw gave me a terrifying complete misdiagnosis when all I needed was refills on prescriptions, and there were no doctors in the office at all that day for the second opinion she wanted. I then came back another day to get the opinion of a doctor, who said there was absolutely nothing wrong with me. They then charged me an exorbitant amount for both visits.
