Incompetent care that involves clinically inappropriate and even damaging care and CAUSES hundreds of dollars in unnecessary dental damage. Cost me nearly $700 in unnecessary extra dental care and prescriptions. This practice insisted I had to go to a brand new dentist and get all new x-rays and pay for brand-new first visit (examination, etc.) with another dentist to get a temporary crown put back on when Dr. Dongieux went out of town the day after putting a temporary in... they had no emergency dentist on-call for Dr. Dongieux's patients when he left town (despite his voicemail saying he does), so his receptionist directed us to go to another dentist and go through all of this just to get the temporary glued back in.

It gets worse.

Dr. Dongieux, as I was to find out after traveling 2 hours there and back to my old childhood dentist, had me on a prescription mouth rinse that I DID NOT NEED and that was CAUSING SEVERE TEETH STAINING. All my teeth were BROWN (thus, my traveling so far to my old dentist! I was freaked out!) I had to pay $239 out of pocket (in addition to what insurance paid for a cleaning) for my old dentist to use a special lightening strip (like sand paper) to scrape off the stains.

When the dentist is costing you unnecessary money, giving you products you don’t need that cause your teeth damage and cause you to need extra dental care for no reason, something’s got to give. I would rather travel far out of my way for proper care than to have to compromise like this any further. Patients need to be warned of stuff when it is this far off the rails.
