Periodontics of Middle Tennessee (Dr. Steven Daniel) http://www.middletennesseeperio.com/

This has been going on since May 2014 and my only recourse now is to publish my dissatisfaction with Dr. Steven Daniel and his staff. My procedure with Dr. Daniel was great and as far as his skill I have no problem. Because his name is on the door AND he either did not or would not speak with me I decided to post this review. The sad part to all of this is the x-ray was also supposed to have a consultation which never occurred.

Had an implant done here and there were no problems with the procedure. On a follow-up visit Dr. Daniel wanted a special x-ray because we had discussed additional implants. I get the x-ray done and upon check out am presented with a bill for $175. The office staff knew up front the x-ray was not covered by my insurance and no one ever consulted with me about this. When I complained they said they would see if the insurance would cover it, and of course it was denied.

I called the office on five different occasions and the last time went to the office. Each time I was told the problem would be addressed and I would receive a call back from Dr. Daniel with a resolution. I also asked about the consultation that was supposed to be a part of the x-ray and never received that either. So my complaint about this office and dentist revolves around:

1. Accomplishing services that are known not to be covered by insurance, and not briefing the patient or providing other options.
2. Extremely poor customer service, complete run around, and no returned calls.
3. Dr. Stephens failed to provide the consultation services as indicated with the x-ray provided.
4. The office staff said they were unable to uncouple the x-ray service and consultation to provide me a bill for the x-ray only.
