Did nothing but try to push his downstairs clinic with non AMA or FDA approved treatments. Reminded me of a witch Dr.

Irresponsible Dr.!
I was referred by Doctor Macasieb due to the fact that he works with patients that need anxiety meds, sleep medicine or even medicine for depression. Before dropping my psychiatrist (which can take months to get an appointment with), I spent several appointments making sure the Dr. was comfortable with me and writing these scripts and I was comfortable with him. When I met with him the first two to three times he spend 1/2 hour to 45 minutes giving me pseudo therapy, while I just sat there saying nothing. No Dr. outside of the mental health field should EVER give therapy! I offered to have him talk to my therapist and he did not want to. He prescribed Clonazepam each month, since May, with NO REFILLS, and I still had one prescription of Ambien from June 2015. Ambien did not work so I did not ask for refills since May. Lately I have not been able to sleep. I thought over the past months we were good and literally just dropped my psychiatrist. During my wellness appointment this week, Tues, Oct 20th, he gave me a refill of Clonazepam, but I forgot to ask about a different sleep medicine. I then called back the office the same day to get a refill on a different sleep medicine, making the mistake of suggesting a low dose of sleep medicine with Trazodone (non-controlled, anti-depressant which helps with sleep). I get a call back Thursday from Monica, CNA, saying the Dr. is not comfortable with prescribing a sleep medicine and Trazodone and no mention of a refill for a sleep med. I asked her, does he mean he is not comfortable with prescribing sleep medicine at all, even though he prescribed it to me in June? I indicated if that is the case, sleep medicine alone will be fine. I also said I am happy to bring in the bottle for him and Monica said I did not need to do that. She, being young, unprofessional and clearly unable to do her job, had no idea what the Dr. meant and said she would talk to him and call me back. No call back last night and today (Friday). I called the office this morning (Friday) and left a message with the office manager. I get a call back from somebody else saying Monica does not work on Fridays and the office manager is out! That would have been nice to know yesterday. She said, I also need to bring in the sleep med bottle and they close early. Also the women trailed off on something else that had nothing to do with a prescription of sleep medicine. This is now three days later and no word on a script and in my opinion the Dr. should have called in a case like this. I could not deal with this anymore. Very disorganized, unprofessional doctor and staff. Seeing that I just dropped my psychiatrist, the Dr. put me in a terrible situation. At this point, the doctor should not be dealing with any medicines dealing with anxiety, sleep, and/or mental illness. He is clearly uncomfortable with it. He and his staff are incompetent, he gives unsolicited therapy. Also, they do close early often and the wait time is at least 30 minutes to an hour. DO NOT SEE THIS Dr. except for a simple check-up. It seems that is all he knows how to do. He does listen, but in the case of anxiety, sleep, mental health, stick with a psychiatrist. If you want to try him, DO NOT JUST DROP YOUR PSYCHIATRIST!

My husband, daughter & I have been going to Dr Macasieb for years & he's the BEST; very caring, tells it like it is, isn't big on using lots of Rx meds when they're not needed. Highly recommend!
