I found that he was not as open minded as I want in a doctor. I also did not find him to have a positive outlook I want in a doctor.

Dr. Merkert spends enough time with you to make sure you understand the issue and problems.He encourages the use of email and is very prompt on returning email.In 53 years he is the best DR. I have had.

Dr Merkert has been my doctor about 7-8 years since switching to KP. Even though I know he is rushed to stay on time he always spends enough time with me to cover the questions I have. Most importantly he seems to stay on top of the latest research and studies when we talk through the questions. I'm sure he has thousand of patients he is consulting every year but I always feel like he know who I am. Another added plus he always wants me to follow-up on email which is great and he answers right back when I have further questions. After all I have only one doctor to kept me healthy and I'm glad its Thomas Merkert.
