This is the first time I’ve ever written a negative review. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my visit. I had called the office to make an appointment (this would have been my first visit) and I am aware that the initial visit is always more expensive than any of the other visits. My first question to the front desk person was “how much $ is the initial visit?” She wouldn’t give me a straight answer and put me on hold to ask someone else three times and still couldn’t give me a straight answer. Her reply was “The Dr. will go over that with you at your visit.” I was dumbfounded but made an appointment anyway for my daughter and I out of desperation. We went to the first visit and I had an evaluation done (which included some sort of scan) and my daughter had an evaluation and adjustment. We were checking out and the front desk lady said “your total for today is $390”. The breakdown was $195 for each of us. I said that I didn’t expect to pay that much and explained that when I called for my initial visit I couldn’t get a straight answer as to how much I was going to spend. Her reply was “well everyone is different so we couldn’t tell you exactly how much it was going to be.” I’m not a confrontational person so I didn’t say anything. My daughter and I had two completely different visits. I had a scan done, along w a few other things (no adjustment for me), and my 9 month old daughter had an evaluation and adjustment which took a total of 10 minutes. In my opinion, everyone’s initial visit is $195 and they should’ve just told me that over the phone so I knew exactly what to expect.
I made another appointment with them to get my scan results. I called the office the following day to see how much the follow up visits were. The Dr. answered the phone and her reply was “everyone is different so I won’t know till we go over your results”. I explained to her that I did not expect to pay $390 when I left the day before. She realized that I was frustrated and said “normally each follow up visit is $65”. I’m not sure why they can’t just answer your question the first time you ask it without giving you some sort of runaround. I went in a couple days later and the Dr. went over the results with me. She pulled out a payment plan at the end of the visit. I asked if I could just pay the $65 for one visit. Her response was “we don’t really work that way”. All chiropractors have different methods and I would never pay over $1,000 off the bat for a payment plan without knowing exactly what method the chiropractor uses and seeing how I feel afterwards. I wish the office was more transparent and that I didn’t have to ask a question more than once and to still not get a straight answer. My mistake was making the appointment without getting my question answered.
