This doctor almost killed me. He never told me to stop taking Atenolol after I had a heart attack and received a stent. Atenolol caused me coronary artery spasms that can bring on a heart attack and feel worse. For 4 years and numerous trips to the hospital where I received one cardio cath after another he never discontinued the medication. After having my top ripped off in front of coworkers by paramedics working on me at work I decided to see another cardiologist. Within 5 minutes of my visit he told me Atenolol was the problem. That was 4 years ago and I have never had another problem.
