    Biography

    Dr. Kenolisa (Keno) Onwueme draws on a broad analytical skill set developed over 15 years of life-sciences research and from clinical experience in varied environments. He graduated with Distinction from Yale University with dual BSc/MSc degrees in chemistry and received MD and PhD degrees from Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women's Hospital and then his Gastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His scientific research has been recognized with numerous honors and publications.Dr. Onwueme prizes commitment to quality and compassionate patient care and has been commended by peers and patients alike for this attribute. He has expert knowledge in gut microbiology infections and special interests in diarrhea, constipation, disordered gut motility, autoimmune and inflammatory bowel disease.His professional memberships include: American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association and The Global Health Council. Dr. Onwueme is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He co-founded Obala Foundation, a non-profit organization improving healthcare delivery in West Africa.
