I could not get an appointment until my medical records and test results were reviewed, which took two months to review, then over another month to actually get an appointment. After we made the hour trip, I am reviewed by the medical assistant who had months before reviewed my tests and medical records, then the doctor comes in and ask where my pain is. Well in my back and legs making it very difficult to walk even after having three epidurals, and he says surgery would make it worse and referred me back to pain management, which did not help to start with, and I was referred there by pain management doctor to take the pressure off my spine

I liked him, but he had trouble listening and wouldn't take me seriously. However, he did give me a great referral to someone who had the expertise to deal with my condition, once he began to understand that I wasn't making up my symptoms. I truly wished I didn't have to try so hard. He was highly recommended to me. I have no doubt that he's a great surgeon, but his habit of dismissing my symptoms was off-putting and a bit scary for someone who has a serious condition.
