DO NOT get ECT with Dr. Craig Rogers. He has no bedside manner and asks the patients what he wants for their treatment instead of guiding them. I started feeling better after about 3 treatments and he asked if I wanted more treatments. I said will that make me feel better is that what I should do? He said yes. So they kept giving me treatments. I think 12 or 15. After the treatments I became manic. Full blown mania without sleeping for a couple months and yelling at my family. I never had mania before but he was aware the my uncle was biplolar. I texted him telling that I noticed I was having manic symptoms based on what I found on google and he denied it. Finally after a few times of reaching out he admitted that I was right. Also I found on google that if you combine ECT with the medication Effexor it can cause mania. He was well aware that I was on that medication. I would tear up before every treatment and ask a nurse to hold my hand and his response was aren’t you used to this by now??? What a complete a**hole. Because I was manic and couldn’t sleep I was put on a bunch of heavy sleep medications that I am now addicted still 4 years later and unable to taper off of them. I can no longer sleep and went to a neurologist. The ECT damaged my brain permanently. Go to a natreopathic doctor and find the root cause of your mental illness. Go to alternative to med center and get off those horrible medications that are making you suicidal. DO NOT do ECT or TMS because these treatments are dangerous. I beg you. If you want to hear more info about my journey with mental health I would be happy to share my Instagram is @life.with.Rachel
