This doctor was condesending to me and interrupted me constantly when asked about a certain procedure. I have never had an experience like this in my life. He actually laughed at my questions. What a bloated bloke.

He made sure he went over everything with me. He listened to how I feel which doctors ignored for years. Forever grateful for Dr. Higginbothom.

I felt as though at times he insisted he was right dismissing my thoughts regarding my own body.

Although Dr. Higginbotham was not the problem in my situation, I would not recommend anyone to go to his facility for prenatal care. It started off well, my first visit actually went really well and I was excited to have a good doctor. Then, at my second appointment I stated that I had applied for medicaid. As soon as I mentioned that they took me into an office to talk to their billing clerk. From there she rudely told me that I should've said to them that I had planned on applying for medicaid to begin with because they "only deliver so many medicaid babies per month." Which, for the record, I had no intention to apply for medicaid in the beginning. I didn't know the benefits of it and already have a primary insurance. That was only the start. So before my third appointment I received a bill from his office for the middle of June. I then realized that my medicaid was approved at the beginning of June. So for my third appointment, I took my bill and my proof of medicaid to the office, for one, because they would need my information, and two, because I was a little confused about the whole situation. I then went into the billing clerks office and said that I had been approved for the medicaid beforehand, and tried asking her about it. The woman then automatically ASSUMED that I was trying to get out of paying my bill, which was not the case. I simply was inquiring about it. From there, things just spiraled downhill. She was very disrespectful to me, and continued to talk over me, and wasn't even trying to listen to what I was saying. She brought up that I had signed a contract stating that I would pay the bill from my first appointment and continued by stating that because I applied for medicaid (as a SECONDARY insurance), I had now become a "charity case." At that point, I got up and left the room because I couldn't believe that this lady who had no idea who I was, how much I worked, or anything like that, had just automatically assumed all these nasty things about me and was so incredibly rude. No person deserves to be treated like that regardless of who you are. Especially a pregnant person. I hope people read this and think twice about going to this facility for their care because they deserve to understand that treating people that way is not okay, especially when their whole job is to take care of people.

Dr. Higginbotham delivered my second baby, and I couldn't be happier with him. I used a different doctor for my first baby and was not pleased at all. I had some fears stemming from my first delivery that Dr. Higginbotham was able to calm. Had he delivered my daughter, I probably wouldn't have waited quite so long to have another one. He is always very thorough and takes the time to answer any questions. He stays up on the latest treatments and actually listens to his patients. His nurses are wonderful as well. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I am 27 and have gone to dr higginbotham since I was about 15. I have PCOS and endometriosis he has helped me with treatment and also delivered all four of my kids two being singleton pregnancies and my last pregnancy with twins. I live over an hour away and like and trust him so much that I choose to drive the distance just to continue having him for a doctor. His nurses are amazing and so is he. He had a great bedside manner he doesn't make you feel like you are just another patient. I would recommend him to anyone!
