Dr. Artis you have saved my life in so many ways than you will ever know you’re a tough cookie that’s for certain! It’s exactly what my mental health needed in order to begin the healing process of the loss of my mother. And the other losses I’ve experienced in that same year. I love getting to lay on your couch and you give me my favorite blanket and I lift my legs up and I feel like I’m at home or even if it’s over the telephone it’s still feels so comforting to be in your presence. Thank you so much for being tough on me when I didn’t have it in me to be tough on myself thank you for allowing to be kind to myself when I wasn’t able to be kind to myself thank you for allowing me as you put it to be free! If you’re looking for a psychologist or psychotherapist, that is going to sugarcoat things tell you what you wanna hear she’s not the right doctor for you, but if you wanna hear the truth, and if you wanna hear the honest truth so that you could become honest with yourself and others around you, she’s the doctor to go to. Thank you for the Tesla. Thank you so much for helping me in my process which is not quite finished yet but thank you for helping me on my journey to heal , I absolutely adore you and I’m so grateful God brought me to you at the perfect timing. You have taught me so much about myself, and I am so grateful that I’ve learned to regain my power to take it back. Thank you for teaching me how to do so I appreciate you more than you will ever know. Thank you for saving my life .

She has helped me regain my confidence and strength as I move forward from some horrible situations. It is important to know that therapists are not supposed to be liked or be your friend. Folks who are seeing therapists need to remember that many times it is appropriate to be frustrated in your session, that means you are being challenged. That is the difference between chatting with a friend and going to a professional therapist who calls you out and helps you see things differently, Even if you end up disagreeing, that is fine at least you are able to stand up for yourself and work on it. I am in the field and needed help for my own issues, she is one of the smartest therapists I have ever met. She has also extensive medical knowledge that helps as well. She isn't a fluffy how u feeling kind of therapist, so you need to find the kind of professional that works for your style and needs. She is the strongest and most insightful therapist I know, and I know many since I am around this field at work.

I visited her three times and only felt worse... line drawn when she answered a phone call IN THE MIDDLE of our conversation. Rude and judgemental, do not reccomend.

I have been very skeptical meeting with another therapist. I have been jumping from one therapist to another. My main complaints has been that they are just following a guide books (like many that just graduated from their MFT do), they are just old and don't follow any "treatment modality" and just like to give advice , and they are not intelligent enough. She is compassionate, honest, and realistic. This may sound bad, but I find my therapist to be not the brightest people especially coming from a medical background. Sh*t you can become one with an MFT from a sh*tty school, but she was very bright. It was not a shock that she graduated from Princeton.

She is by far the best Therapist someone could hope for. If you want honesty, compassion and an occasional reality check along with some humor. please go see her. I have a wonderful life thanks in part to the time I spent in her office a couple decades ago. I will just say that both my partner and I were very confused and co dependent people who had both barely survived rough upbringing. We grew up and healed a lot of stuff under her care.

Dr. Artis was a great doctor. She helped me through problems I was going through at the time when I was an adolescent. She's very sweet, encouraging and calm. I always left feeling better. She received her Ph.D in psychology from Princeton University. Therapy isn't for everyone. You have to want to help yourself in order for someone else to be able to help you. Highly recommend!

Dr. Artis is very an excellent therapist. You must be willing to do the work (get real about yourself) in order for her therapy to work, if you come in trying to find ways around your reality, then it won't work. The more you put into it the better results. As they say, you could lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

I came in there due to problems on the job with a work place bully. Because I was strong in other relationships she assumed that I could handle this bully. I mentioned if I could work another department to get away from this person, and Dr. Artis indicated that " I had the nerve to be picky" because jobs were hard to come by amongst other things. This Dr. was so not helpful, and thank God I was able to find another Dr. who really listened and cared more about me than doing whats perceived as "right" for the sake of the company. I was at the point of considering hurting someone "going postal" as they say, but I'm calm and hard to read so I can be perceived as having it going on, so a doctor really has to allow feelings to be expressed and not think eveyone is just trying to get out of work. This doctor did not put my best interest in the forefront.
