In my experience, she appears to be very caring and willing to listen and prescribe accordingly.

dr. Qutub does not care about patients. I have family history of breast cancer where people died in their forties. After having mammogram where dense breast tissue has been found she did not want to do any additional tests like simple ultrasound as a follow up. Mammogram misses so many cancers in dense breast tissue patients where single screening ultrasound increases detection of breast cancers that are small and node negative. It is a shame that she did not order any additional test even on my request where there is an increased risk because of family history!

Dr. Qutub is completely ignorant of the most basic concepts of pain management. I have chronic pain that is well controlled by a regimen prescribed by my regular MD for over 5 years. I have a physiologic tolerance to opioid meds as a result, which Dr. Q was aware of before she operated on me in Aug 2013. She told me I could not pick up my pain meds until after surgery, so my mom had to get it for me, and prescribed a dose that was completely ineffective because she had refused to verify the effective dose. When I ran out of pain meds 2 days later, she switched me to something less effective that irritated my stomach, and refused to change it when I complained of discomfort. When I told her I was still having pain, she told me to go to addiction medicine & told them that I had admitted having a chemical dependency, which was a complete lie! To top it off, she tried to discontinue my chronic pain regimen which had taken my doctors 9 years of searching for something effective. WOW.

She asked and I told her that I had sex with my boyfriend unprotected during my appointment. But here's the rub, she took me into her office and expressed concern for my "high risk" behaviour. I was in my mid to late twenties in a four year mongomous relationship post college, but she seemed to have ignored that, questioned my judgement and integrity as well as my BF's, and suggested some unsavory things when all I was coming in for was a pap so I could renew my YEARLY BCP prescription (so shocking that I was being responsible! *sarcasm*) I never saw her again as my gyno and I'm happily married to "that" boyfriend and probably in her opinion miraculously STD free (I'm ethnic so I'm sure that had something to do with it, just another statistic! High risk! That's how she sadly treated me) She made me feel terrible in such a vulnerable situation and it was one of the most horrible experiences in my life. I should have filed a complaint with Kaiser, but now it has been years since.
