I thank Dr Hames for saving my life. He sent me to the best prostate treatment group in the United States way before any other doctor would have paid any attention. My PSA was well within normal limits but he was alert and saw a sudden increase. I have been going to him for approx. 9 years and has always spent all the time in the world with me including talking about fishing. He sends me to the proper specialist when needed and when you look at their ratings, they are the best in their field. Thanks Dr Hames.

I use to see Dr Hames for many years but since he left his practice and moved to corporate medicine his bed side manners, knowledge, and skills have suffered. When Dr Hames failed to properly diagnose my condition on several visits and especially would not listen to me about my symptoms I moved on. What really made me move is hearing him talk about me in disrespect in the hallways where everyone else could hear I felt this was bad doctor/patient confidentiality. In the end he failed to diagnose my and also my child which ended up in an emergency room visit. So sad that he use to be a good doctor but now someone whom I have absolutely no trust

Dr. Hames has been my doctor for over 25 years. He has ALWAYS taken as much time as I needed for questions, he has always made me feel like my illness mattered, he has a calming bedside manner which helps when one is crying from being sick.I am very much included in the process of getting well. Additionally, Dr. Hames will listen and try to do what you ask him to do as far as resonable treatment options. He has not become arrogant over the years. As an added bonus he will often times provide samples, saving me the cost of the medince when possible. I have had many opportunities to change doctors.However,I have changed insurance policies just to ensure he can remain my doctor. In comparison to other doctors I have had to deal with over the years, I continue to have faith that Dr. Hames will provide me with the best medical advise and treatment that is available, including letting me cry when I feel bad or think I have a rare unknown disease!

I absolutely loved Mr. Hames AND his staff. I recently visited his office/staff for the first time about a month ago. I found Dr. Hames to be patient, attentive, obviously VERY educated in the Medical field and most imporantly to me, he id not herd me in and out like a herd of cattle, as most Dr's offices these days do. Another endearing quality I found was that he was the most unjudgemental Doctor I have ever met in my life and I've been to several, I am 43 yrs old and female. His genuine concern and compassion are his main concern. He is here to help those in need become well, and isn't that what a doctor is for?

Dr. Hames really cares about people. Unfortunately, the health-care-system caused him to HAVE TO go to work for a big corporate entity. He told me that his liability insurance alone when he had his own clinic was well in excess of $100,000 a year, plus all the nurses, insurance specialist, etc. I finally convinced by 80 year old parents to quit going to the quack they used for decades and go to Hames. He immediately got them in for their FIRST colonoscopy and other tests. I think he literally kept them alive for many years. He listens, he is compassionate, he is a prince who is being made to walk through the mud by the system. I am really worried that he might retire soon....OH NO! -- Don

Terrible, absolutely horrible! Staff is rude and unprofessional. Wait time is over an hour - sometimes close to 2 hours. When you finally get to see the doctor - it's only for a short time because he's in a hurry to see the next patient. Do they have a daily quota that they must meet?What upsets me during my 1-2 hour wait in the waiting room is when a drug company salesman walks in without an appointment and does not have to wait one minute. They are promptly escorted back to see the doctor.

I have been going to Dr.Hames now for about 20 years. I dont know why these people are complaining about the staff there. I have never had any problems with any of them. They have always been courteous and helpful. Especially Wanda. Dr. Hames has always taken enough time with me. Has always answered all my questions, and is a man who is easy to like. I have had problems getting someone on the phone tho. There is room for improvement there. jwh.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Hames for over 15 years . I am 62 years old and he is the best family practice physician I have ever seen. However since he has moved to health first the office people I feel are some of the worst I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Dr. Hames has diagnosed and helped me helped me with several problems I've had. He will refer you to another doctor who takes care of certain problems. He's always been patient and listens to me.
