Dr. Martin A. Ruiz is very knowledgeable about diabetes, he is kind, caring and does not rush his patients out the door. Because he is also an Internist, he can recognize/ diagnose diabetes-related illnesses. He is thorough and follows through with his patients.

Dr. Martin Ruiz is extremely unknowledgeable, except maybe when it comes to diabetes. He doesn't even know anything about sleep paralysis. Why do you think only some people walk in their sleep and not others? Sheesh! He is also heartless and uncaring. He is HIGHLY biased against the use of marijuana to treat ANY condition. Don't tell him you smoke marijuana because he will assume that's what is wrong with you and won't help you! He refused several tests that I requested (non-invasive tests that wouldn't cost HIM anything..) I had been previously tested for diabetes, yet he still tested me extensively for it and then treated me like I was the one who had brought up the idea of diabetes in the first place. What was I thinking?
