Do not see her. Dr. Howell was abrupt, did not counsel, grossly over medicated me, and became hostile when I tried to explain the severity of the combined side effects of the five meds she prescribed on my FIRST visit. My primary care doctor was appalled at the number, type, and high dosages of the meds. I finally became sick from the meds and asked him for help. He discontinued all of them and prescribed two safer ones I have successfully used since.

Doesn't spend time to help you-just pushes you on through very quickly. Does not do therapy--just prescribes medication.

Dr. Howell was nice at first but all she knew to do was to prescribe medication which caused large weight gains and fatigue. Then when you want to protest against that indicating that it was not helpful, she wasn't so nice any more.

I also had this doctor. Wish I had checked out this website first and I am glad to find that I am not the only one who did not find her helpful. She does not like you to disagree with her and will hurt your feelings if you do--like how could you possibly know more than she does, even if it is something about yourself.

Not helpful in helping you understand your problems and arrive at solutions. Just don't get much done. Doesn't follow through with things she says she will do.
