The best neurosurgeon and staff you could ask for. I trusted him completely to operate on my back. Will be going back to see him.

Dr Reichwage is very honest and will not do an unnecessary surgery on you. I believe him to be very honest and truthful which is so much more than I can say for some doctors. He told me to get ablation for my back and that he did not recommend surgery at this time. I did have trouble with getting an appointment thru his staff. I told him about the problem when I was there. I think he was going to speak with them. He did ask me questions about his staff. I'm pretty sure he corrected the problem.

Dr. Reichwage spent less then 6 minutes with me he didn’t ask me one question regarding my pain or symptoms. According to him the surgery he does would not be of help to me according to my MRI,
About that MRI.... I didn’t have one so whose was he reading? So upset that he had no compassion regarding my pain that it didn’t occur to me he may have someone else’s MRI. It took me 10 months of being referred from doctor to doctor to get to a 6 minute appointment that ends at a brick wall. I wish I had read the following reviews prior to my making an appointment with this person it was a waste of my time.

Brett Reichwage, M.D.
Neurosurgery |
Baptist Medical Group:
Dr. Reichwage, was awesome! We had the best service from the front deck staff, nurse, and doctor! They were all very considerate, appreciative of our time, and professional. Dr. Reichwage, was patient with us and explained every detail of my husband back condition in words that we could understand. He was never in a hurry and was sincerely caring of my husband’s pain. Although, currently, from the MRI there is nothing he would operate on at this time, he has ordered X-rays to see if there is another problem not showing up on the MRI and is going to personally talk to our pain management doctor for us. Can’t say enough good things about him and his staff. Also, a shout out to “Tammy” for helping us schedule our appointment. I do not understand any of the negative reviews that I have read. He was kind and caring.

PS I understand the waiting time, as he does not get in a hurry. He wants to make sure you understand. He was also very apologetic about our wait, which did not bother me as you never know what emergency he could have been involved in.

Thank you, Jennifer Scheibe and Thomas Perry

I agree a 100% with the last review. I was examined by his nurse practitioner. When he came in to the room he told me the same thing. He had reviewed my MRI and said,"Their is nothing I can do for you." He spent a total of 5 min. with me. I have been dealing with severe chronic pain for the last 6 months. It has turned my life upside down at the age of 39. I have severe DDD and a herniated disk. I have to use assistance to walk at times and their is nothing he could do?!?!? Fortunately I have found a nuerosurgeon that CAN help me. Do not waste your time with this doctor who is obviously not qualified nor has the necessary abilities to heal people in constant pain.

Dr. Reichwage is a miracle worker, he is pays attention, answers questions, and gives honest opinions....he highly skilled and a amazing surgeon. I had seen 9 surgeons before him that said it was to complicated and above their expertise, or that it wouldn't help!! He explained all pros and con's and performed the surgery it has been a month and an day!! I couldn't be happier, I feel like he has given my life back!! Can't express the gratitude I have!!

My husband and I had high hopes for our appointment with Dr. Reichwage in the Gulf Breeze, FL office. Beautiful office, really kind, professional staff. Really great signs this was the doctor that was going to help with the pain. But...after waiting for the doctor in the room, in he walks and before the door was closed - he states, "There is nothing I can do for you." He "reviewed" the MRI I brought in 15 minutes ago and decided there was nothing he could do. He was arrogant, continued to cut us off when we tried to explain what was going on. Dr. Reichwage did not even do an exam. How can you NOT exam a patient OR listen to them and determine you cannot help them?? Really disappointed. What a waste of a month just waiting to get in to see this person. And now you get to charge my insurance company how much for 9 minutes of your time?? On top of my co-pay! I am sorry for anyone that even thinks about going to you! Shame on you!!
