Had wound that wouldn't heal,, Went for over year. Ask one day about a treatment that they offered He said you had to be a millionaire to get that treatment, I knew better than that.I have health insurance and medicare also. So he wasn't truthful and went he said that I certainly lost respect in him then.

i saw Dr. Clayton 4 years ago while I was experiencing symptoms of hypo and hyperthyroidism. He blew off my concerns. Ordered some tests (one which had to be redone 3 times because of lab error). Here it is 4 years later, I wasn't allowed to schedule with another endo in the clinic...saw Dr. Cayton. I just read his note. He billed for a 45 minute consult and documented things that did not happen. This man was in the room a maximum of 10 minutes if that. I have ZERO confidence in this Endocrinologist. I am also a Nurse.

This doctor was nice but the staff sucked. I waited a hr 1st visit and I missed 3 appt 2 due to hospilizations and one no ride. I got a call from staff member advising I would need to get another doctor due to missed appt I had to get a doc out of mmc I felt that was,rude and would not recommend anyone going there.

When I arrived for my appointment he was running late so I had to sit out in the lobby. When I went back into the exam room I still had to wait. Once he came in I tried to tell him about my past childhood thyroid problems and what my old pediatric endocrinologist had told me. He said, "I don't need to know all of that." I thought my past medical history was important but not to him. He then began to be very condescending. He told me my issues were related to my age. Now, I was 40 at the time, so not really old. He also told me my hair loss wasn't significant enough because he'd expect to see more hair loss if it were really related to my under active thyroid. He told me his daughter loses that much hair when she brushed it. He didn't want to hear that for me, that was a lot of hair, not the "normal range" of daily hair care. He listened to my abdomen and said, "Interesting." I asked him what was interesting and he replied, "Oh nothing." Btw, I'm a nurse and yet he treated me like crap

Excellent Dr with an excellent partner. If you have thyroid issues, Dr. Clayton or Dr. Rone can't be topped.

I have never received such poor care as I have from Dr. Clayton. My first appointment, I sat back in the exam room for over an hour waiting to see him. When he did come in, he was very dismissive of my concerns. Even though an ultrasound had shown proof a problem, he kept telling me he did not believe I had a problem. Three days later, he called me with blood results telling me that I most definitely did have a problem, but would not give me medication Follow up appt: he didn't bother to read my chart and asked how my medication was working. He kept insisting my problems were not due to the problem he told me I had just two months ago! I brought him blood work from another doctor and he said he saw where I need treatment, but again refused to give me any medication! He obviously does not care that this problem is having an enormous negative impact on my life. I do not understand why he is a doctor when it is obvious that he does not want to help. Worst doctor ever!

Dr. Clayton is a very good physician. He took a great deal of time with me to explain my medical condition in terms that were easy for me to understand. When my test results returned, he called me himself to discuss the results---how many doctors do that?!? His staff is also kind and helpful. I felt confident in his expertise and felt that he had a very friendly, gentle demeanor.

Dr. Clayton was arrogant and dismissive in each of my appointments. He arrived over 30 minutes late for the first appointment and over 50 minutes late for the second appointment. He continually denied a concern raised over a side effect of the medication prescribed. Even when the side effect was clearly listed in the pamphlets and displays in his office. He was rude and argumentative. He even scoffed at me at one point and said,'you should probably see a specialist about that.' . . . and what is he exactly?

Dr. Clayton comes off as very arrogant. He does seem to be a good doctor though. I had to have an ultrasound and the tech indicated that she though highly of his skill. I must say however that part of his diagnosis does not fit with the research I have done on several reputable medical websites or the opinion of one of my other doctors. It also took him 2 full weeks to get around to calling me to reccomend that I have a fna biopsy of the nodules found on my thyroid. He wanted the biopsy done as soon as possible. If it was so urgent, why did it take 2 weeks to get around to getting back to me with the results he had by the end of the business day the same day that the ultrasound found the nodules?
