I became acquainted with Dr. White while in the hospital. I had a bad experience with a previous Endocrinologist and a family member told him that I din't like them. He never let on to me that he knew this. He would come into my room with my chart and talk to me about my situation. I found that I really liked and trusted him and asked him if he would consider me as a patient after I left the hospital. He agreed and I have never been sorry. I have recommended him to family and and they have been very happy with him also. He listens to me and works with me to get the best results for my health. I wouldn't have anyone else.

A great doctor. He managed to get my Diabetes under control when it was totally out of control and affecting other body systems.

He doesn't listen to his patients. He seemed like he didn't care about my symptoms. I was very disappointed.

I like him, but he didn't listen. I asked to not take synthriod because I did in the past and gained 70 pounds. I have quit seeing him because I was not heard.

Dr. White proved himself to be ignorant, arrogant, immature (he literally *sulked* after I suggested that he do further research on the symptoms of hypothyroidism), and unprofessional.

He told me many times in a row how I was "very rude", "have no right to say such things!!!", am "completely, unnecessarily offensive", etc etc and all I said, verbatim, was "Then I don't think you've read up enough, because there are more than a handful of symptoms". He folded his arms over his chest, stuck out his lower lip, and refused to either respond or speak.

I left the room, torn between wanting to scream, and wanting to cry.

The woman at the desk informed me (much to her obvious embarrassment) that Dr. White said I was to return "never", and hurriedly changed that to "no".

I have been very athletic most of my life, I was on most of my school's sports teams, and, when I have the stamina, I jog three miles a day, do core, tension, and barre exercises, and I've always eaten healthily, yet I still gain weight.

Ironically, the only thing he didn't comment on was my weight (which most doctors pounce on); unlike other patients who commented, I was not told to "diet and exercise".

Aside from weight-gain (I'm 5'7, 250lb), I have *daily* hair-loss (a couple of handfuls/brushfuls per day) *and* the individual hairs are 1/4 the thickness they were LAST YEAR!!!, dry skin, peeling feet, very low body temperature in the morning, very low blood-pressure, rapid pulse, constant tiredness, insomnia, a complete lack of appetite, discomfort around my thyroid (it feels bruised, but sometimes, it feels like a lump in my throat, like when you're crying), a rash that comes and goes over my thyroid, a flaming-hot red spot right over my thyroid, a goiter that comes and goes, sensitivity to heat (especially if my thyroid gets hot; I feel like I'm going to throw-up), bouts of random hypothermia, I can't stand for my thyroid or neck to be touched, even by the collar of a shirt/jacket or by a scarf, nor can I stand for it to be touched by anyone, even myself (also makes me feel like I'm going to throw-up), etc.

My list of symptoms is *long*...

Regardless of these symptoms, he told me I didn't have *any* symptoms of hypothyroidism, and when I tried to tell him all of them, some of them he said he hadn't heard of!! Furthermore, he told me, "I don't care about your family-history, or about who's been diagnosed", and my Mum, who has hypothyroidism, was with me on the appointment for moral support (he ignored everything she said, by the way, and even looked annoyed when she spoke)!

What *did* he do, you might ask? Told me that the feeling of a large lump in my throat was "acid reflux" (what the heck?!!), and that I had "an infectious disease" (I've been tested for everything from Mononucleosis [which I had in high-school, so it'll still show up in my tests] and Lupus, to Malaria, Spotted Fever, and Lyme disease, and they were all negative). In fact, out of all my blood-tests, the only one he was interested in was my CBC, which is very high.

Needless to say, I would not recommend him to anyone, nor would I choose to return were I "allowed".

Terrible Experience--Started seeing him in 2007 and he has constantly changed my thyroid meds at least every 6 months! My body doesn't have time to get used to the new meds before he switching my levels once again. This last change was the last straw for me and once I told him my symptoms and how much it effected me, he seemed unconcerned and wouldn't talk to me or see me! He would have his nurse relay messages to me in which he still didn't offer any help towards the effect of the meds. I will no longer see this doctor as I feel he doesn't really care about how you feel but only how his numbers look on his chart!!! Completely dissatisfied!

Very impressed with the services of Dr. White. I had a thyroid issue, he took the time to explain my issues from my under active thyroid. He was very kind and caring. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. I was very pleased with service from him and his staff.
