Dr. Cathy Lou has always been an excellent doctor. Her spinal injections are second to none. She tries alternative methods than anyone I have ever been to. She listens and gets to the root of the problem.

Dr. Luo has been my specialist for two years. She is very thorough, understanding, and knowledgeable. She is NOT a Doctor who throws pills at you and sends you on your way. She gets to the root of the issues and offers real solutions to help the problems. The spinal injections help immensely and I know I would have to have another surgery if it wasn't for her. I do not want to be cut on again if I can help it at all, so her injections, for me, are a life saver. She is tough and I admite and respect her wisdom. Not only addressing the problems but helpng me understand some roots of the problems, knowing that weight and other things factor into it all. Thank you Dr. Luo and her amazing staff.

I have been a patient at Dr. Luo for two and a half years. Her staff had always been friendly and compassionate. When I have questions about my back she will excitedly pull the skeletal model over and show me what's going on and why I'm in so much pain. I get the injections every four months. Most of the time they help for 3 to 4 weeks, sometimes longer other times no effect at all. When you're in constant pain even a few weeks of relief is huge. As far as medication goes she starts you out low and works to find a level that will hold your pain to at least 3 on the pain scale. I've accepted that I'm not going to be 100% pain free but being able to work and function is her goal. When different meds she tried didn't work or made me sick she was quick to try an alternative. While I didn't work for a couple of years I didn't need much to get thru the day but when bills and obligations forced me back to work she increased my meds to make it bearable to get thru the work day. If you're honest and sincere with her and follow the rules of her practice she will Definitely go the extra mile to help you live a somewhat normal life. I've never found her to be rude or uncaring as some folks have said in reviews of her. I've also witnessed a great sense of humor from her also. If your goal is to just get meds and demand they be increased every other visit then you will be dissapointed, and likely discharged as she doesn't have time for those who don't take their own Healthcare seriously or want to waste her time. I've had visits that have lasted 5 minutes and others that went 30. She advises me on those activities that are benificial for my pain and warns against those that will only make it worse. I recommend Dr. Luo highly to those that are looking for more than just a script.

Dr.Luo and her staff are excellent as both individuals and as a team. I have been seeing her for nearly a year and have had great progress. I have had bad experiences in the past with other physicians, she won't cut or do any procedures without your full knowledge as well as her own. Never be afraid to talk to your doctor, she is proof that good ones are out there if you do your do diligence!

She is by far a very skilled Dr. I left a review before, but it was prior to my first injections. The injections went well and she was great about any apprehensions I had. They did last for a couple of weeks and through research I found this to be normal. She is a pain Dr people please don't be surprised when you get pain medication!!!! I can assure you that she would never overload you and monitors if you have progress with it or not. She isn't a drug dealer she is a pain dr and her goal is to take away pain. If you don't want something there is always the option of saying "no" or simply not filling the prescription psh. You are an adult you can speak up if you don't agree with something. With that being said she is great and if you are looking for a caring highly qualified dr this is where you should look. Thank you Dr Cathy Luo !

I went to Dr. Lou with no issues for about a year but after refusing spine injections, attempts to violate me began. First. Drug TEst showing no opiates in system was a joke and call to testing center was informed doctors are able set parameters to what they choose, (so 160 mg. opiates a day and none on drug test?? Violate 1. Six months later another drug test which I was asked if I was taking Hydrocodone??? First, Hydro has Apap, I could not take, 2. NO drug test I know distinguishes between oxycodone and hydro. (sounds like set up sTrike 2) and decided to get out before my Medical records reflected the fake violations. The staff also had clear attitude change during this time and its clear if you wont' let them do useless injections at $1500 each as most pain doctors still out there, then You are not welcome and regardless of your non violation of treatment agreement, YOU CAN BE ACCUSED OF FAILING DRUG TESTS as test lab made VERy cleAr WAS BEING DONE WITH ME.

Dr. Luo is a wonderful Doctor and her staff are very friendly and helpful! There is a zero tolerance for narcotic drugs outside what she prescribes. Waiting time is less than 10-15 minutes from your appointment time. Dr. Luo, and her staff listen to what I have to say and don't just talk over my head or ignore me. I feel that, I have found someone who will help me figure out what is wrong with me and help try to make the pain and problems go away and not just give me pain medication every time I see her. I would strongly recommend her to anyone! And just because they ask you if you are willing to have an injection does not mean that they will give you one. If you do get an injection and it does not work, that she is willing to help figure out why it is not working and what the first step is in correcting your problem. I think they only ask about the injections, is to see if you are just looking to get some narcotics from her. As a new patient you have to start some where.

When I called for my first appointment the first thing I was asked was if I would agree to do injections. Said no I had did that for 5 years and they were not beneficial and that I was seeing her to get a spinal cord stimulator. Explained that I had been a patient at a pain center in Atlanta Ga since my back surg and they had recommended the stimulator but I moved. They scheduled my appt. The day before my appointment they called to confirm my appt and again asked if I would do injections. Told her I was coming to discuss stimulator..She said Dr. Luo doesn't do just pain medicine. Told her I wasn't coming for pain medication. That I would like to have initial visit with the Dr. to see what she could offer or to see if she even felt she could help me and do the spinal cord stimulator..She said they would have to cancel my appt and did..I have never had a Dr. that I have never seen for inital consult refuse to see me because I would not agree over the phone to do a certain procedure.

Dr. Luo and her staff are definitely the most compassionate group working to help relieve chronic pain. it's extremely difficult to find this caliber of care. Most physicians would think you are just a drug addict seeking narcotics. Dr. Luo has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for abuse of medication. Frequent testing is done to insure you are adhering to the contract. I would recommend Dr. Luo to anyone who is suffering chronic pain.
