Dr. Sykes will butcher then gaslight you. RUN AWAY! There are too many other competent and skilled plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills to choose from, don't risk it with this man.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Sykes. I now have one eyebrow higher than the other, he made my nose crocked and one nostril is bigger than the other, my facelift scars are messy. He is not skilled. And I have to agree that his bedside manner is rude. Do not go to this man : (

Went to Dr. Sykes and wound up with a neck lift, facelift, eye lift and lip lift. That was 2 years ago and my lips are still asymetrical and nerves were cut and my neck sags. One eyelid has fallen and is droopy. I went from feeling confident to lonely and isolating. I'm scared to even go and see any other plastic surgeon for fear that I could look even worse.

Stay Away!
I had an eyelid procedure performed by Dr. Sykes under local anesthesia in his clinic in Roseville. It was a simple procedure that someone with his claimed history and experience should have done well but unfortunately I was not impressed with the results. I followed up several times with him since there was no change from before and after looks and photos. I also had a stich in my eyelid for SIX months after the surgery! The scare he caused to my upper eyelid is visible and permanent. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he offered more procedures and tried to sell me his bad services! I won’t trust this person to every touch my face again, not even for free! The scare on my upper eyelid for such a small procedure is a result of his ungraceful hands during the procedure. I felt he was working on a car engine with aggressive togs and pulls that didn’t make sense for such a sensitive area of the human body! I DO NOT recommend Dr. Sykes to anyone… STAY AWAY! Too bad this review doesn’t have photo uploading capability, otherwise I’d share his crime with the world! I’m reporting this doctor for malpractice with the Medical Board of CA.

This place is a good place for surgery until something goes wrong or needs to be revised. In particular, with Dr. Sykes. He will tell you anything you want to hear and talk you into more procedures than you came in for. I came for a lip lift and was talked into 4 other procedures. You are not made aware that you will possibly have permanent nerve damage from a neck lift. I have complete numbness with both ears and the top of my head to the sides near my ears. I also had my wound in the back of my ears completely open up with my scalp hanging off. Not to mention severe hair loss that has devastated me.

The one procedure I came for left my lip still too long at 20mm. And have 3 holes on each side of my nose from crappy suturing. I have them fill will puss all the time and have to extract them 3 times a week. The average philtrum length from nose to the upper lip for a woman is 11-13 mm by every textbook. He tells you he can fix anything, and after a year of him saying to wait, I finally return after 6 appointments, and he tells me, "you look fine." When you see him, he talks nonstop and cannot get a word in, and if you mention anything about why you are unhappy, he says, "you said in a bad surgeon, so why ask me to fix anything?" He mansplains you to death, and the upshot after was he asked me to leave! He doesn't measure anything; he "uses his eyes." Well, I was an OR nurse for 22 years, and not once did I see a patient that did not have their body part marked with a scribe.

He is a complete and total narcissist and will tell you anything you want to hear. He is a competent surgeon until you are left with issues. "I can fix anything, don't worry"... "I am the best and have done this for over 34 years. And says, "you look great, don't focus on the small details. Look at the whole picture." This entire plastic surgery process is about the small details. The plastic surgery mantra is called "the surgery of millimeters." So I now look like a toucan with a very long upper lip, have complete numbness, lost 70% of my hair, and struggle with all of this.

If you want to see "God" in the flesh, this is who he thinks he is! Buyer beware!

Anyone that's gone from "I don't like the way this part of my face looks" to "I'm going to pay someone a lot of $ to knock me out and cut into my face so hopefully I will like it better" knows that it's not easy mentally, emotionally, physically, and sometimes spiritually to make decisions about cosmetic surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Sykes by Westside Aesthetics. Our initial consultation took about one hour, and I didn't even bother getting second or third opinions. Understand that it's not really my nature to under-research. I left the consultation with more questions than I had when I started. However, he was not pushy, answered all my questions honestly and didn't over-promise anything. The more I learned about Dr. Sykes the more I trusted him. I reviewed his education, credentials, accomplishments, Instagram, reviews...there were no red flags.

It's been about 1 month since my surgery and I definitely like my face a lot better now! He is a super talented and caring surgeon and surrounds himself with other talented and caring professionals. Of course I don't know or remember the name of everyone that was in the operating room but thank you. And thank you also to Maria Pace (patient coordinator) for all but holding my hand through this whole thing. She goes above and beyond.
