I have had three surgeries and he spent about three minutes for consult. Not too friendly. Surgeries were fine but I won’t return

Dr Bobb did my knee surgery years ago. Due to a very creepy experience with a chiropractor I scheduled an appt with Dr Bobb for lower back pain and pain in my right hip and leg. I took x-rays, but I don't think he even look at them. He spent 5 min with just to say he wouldn't do anything without an MRI. That was the first of June, he's now mid-July. No MRI and no follow up from his office. I've talked to my insurance company 3-4 times. MRI won't be approved until he can justify it, which he didn't or couldn't do because he only spent 5 min with me! Went to another dr and feeling better already. Dr Bobb got my money and insurance payment for nothing.

The first visit xrays were taken and history was given. The male assistant saw something later on xray that had nothing to do with this doctor and questioned my wife to total embarassment. Second visit we were asked if we came for her second shot. What shot. They didnt know why we were there. Dr Bobb came in and said he didnt trust the MRI....Huh? He wanted to cut her shoulder open. We said we would call to schedule and couldnt get away fast enough. Went to Mcbride (a welloiled machine group) and they started us with physical therapy. No surgery at first. Then had to have arthroscopy. Not slicing shoulder open. All went great. Healing fine and doing PT. If you have any second thoughts, GET a SECOND OPINION. Bobb likes to cut rather than scope. His staff doesn't know what u are there for. If you stay. Hopefully they will repair the correct limb with there confusion.

I arrived at the Norman location ten minutes before my appointment only to be told my appointment was in the Moore office. I was not aware they had a Moore office and was never told that was where my appointment was. I was told if I could get there in :15 minutes I would be seen but if not I would have to reschedule. I live 45 miles South of Norman so I decided rather than make another trip I would chance it. I arrived at the Moore office in :16 minutes and was told I could not be seen. The office was rude and had no sympoor understanding of my situation. There was one person in the waiting room and she told me he was already double booked. Seeing as the lobby was almost empty I doubted that. Obviously he doesn't need patients if he is turning people away because of a miscommunication on his staffs part.

I had surgery on my shoulder about 3 months ago. While I feel that Dr. Bobb is knowledgeable and professional, he's near impossible to get in touch with and can be very unhelpful if you have any unexpected problems.
For instance, I fell down the the stairs after my surgery, re-injuring my shoulder. I had a very hard time getting an appointment to see him, or even just getting any advice on what I should do, from anyone. I felt very in the dark for about a week before I could get anyone to tell me how I should proceed, and that's with me calling and leaving messages with staff. One staff member tried to comfort me by saying that at least we knew he didn't think it was an extremely serious thing since he was taking so long to tell me anything!

The staff is all very polite and I believe are actually trying to be helpful. That being said, it feels as though they might have too many patients to handle. Expect to be on hold for close to 20 minutes every time you call, leave a lot of voicemails, and spend a lot of time talking to several different people for one issue. It took me about a month to get an MRI approved, and that was purely because of miscommunication between staff and my insurance. To top it off, when I called staff practically everyday to tell them my insurance had not gotten the request, they often treated me as though I were just impatient and didn't understand how it worked. When they finally called my insurance to see what was taking so long, they got it approved right then, over the phone, which is something they should have done long before. I waited an extra month in excessive pain before my surgery, because they won't give pain prescriptions until they know what's wrong, all because the staff did not take my calls seriously. Things like this, in which I "fall through the cracks" have happened so often to me that I have seriously contemplated switching doctors.
I have not switched however due to the physical therapy staff. I desperately wish I could rate them separately. They are very helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. I can't sing their praise high enough. If you call their line, you don't wait as long and someone gets back to you very quickly if you leave a message. My physical therapist has been stellar. Since I'm more in the PT part of healing, I feel the PT staff is definitely worth having to put up with all the annoyances of the main office and frustrations I have periodically with Dr. Bobb.

I saw Dr. Bobb twice during the entire knee replacement ordeal, and never at the hospital. His PA was rude, never actually touched me, and seemed uncomfortable being in the same room. I asked twice to see the X-rays which the PA used to determine that I was "fine" and they were never available. Two years later, I am still in considerable pain, in need of a second knee replacement and have no idea where to go - definitely NOT back to Dr. Bobb

I realize he is a no nonsense doctor yet when I returned from a previous surgery with extensive pain, he said just see him in six weeks. I was asked to flex upward my bicep only after I told him my pain was a 9. I was treated like a moron even I am a Phd.

Dr.bobb has permanently damaged my wife shoulder. Dr.bond looked over my wife and said because of his failed attempt and not caring for his patients she now has to deal with something that nobody should experience. I wouldn't suggest dr.bobb on anything living

First visit only saw pa which didn't make me feel very special. Next visit met with Dr. and liked his personality and professionalism . He repaired an old shoulder injury and has been very thoughtful and caring through the process. Would recommend based upon my experience.
