I went to Dr. Twisdale as everyone I talked with was a patient of hers! They all loved her, as did I when I started seeing her. Very friendly, gentle, and caring. My primary physician's wife was her patient. She has retired from the Durham Women's Center and I haven't decided exactly where I will go now. She is very much missed. Marilyn W

Dr. Twisdale is a wonderful and caring doctor. She makes me feel comfortable during my examination. She answers all of my concerns. She is the best Dr. anyone could ever have.

Dr. Twisdale is the best! She is warm, caring, and really puts you at ease. She spent more than adequate time with me in the exam room and I never felt rushed. She is very knowledgable and addressed all of my questions and concerns in a professional, yet friendly manner. Love her! Hands down the best gyno I've ever been too.

Not a fan of this doctor. She made an inappropriate comment about my Brazilian (to let me know that she wasn't supportive of me getting waxed). I also informed her up front that I am prone to yeast infections when I am on antibiotics and can't use over-the-counter meds because I break out into hives; therefore, I would need a prescription for Diflucan on those occasions. Anytime I got a yeast infection (3 times while I was with her practice), she made me come in for an exam before she would give me the prescription. Totally unnecessary (I know what a yeast infection is and when I have one), annoying (to have to drive 20 minutes each way to the office), and a waste of time (taking time from work) and money (co-pay). If I hadn't left the state, I definitely would have been looking for a new doc for this year.

I went to see that doctor in December 2011 because of great reviews she had online. She made me feel uncomfortable with questions and face expressions. She forgot to prescribe a medication she was talking about during the visit. I felt she neglected me and was not paying attention. She did not smile even one time during the visit and I was under the impression that she didn't care at all. In August my primary doctor sent me for an ultrasound of my pelvic area due to pain in my lower abdomen. The result was a fibroid tumor 3 cm by 3 cm in my uterus. I immediately contacted Dr. Twisdale asking for an emergency visit because I knew that things like that should be taken care of right away. I called the office several times and I faxed over the ultrasound result. Nobody got back to me and when I finally went there personally they told me I had appt. scheduled for October. Meanwhile I told them that my ins would be canceled as of Sept 30th. Very rude, uncaring and unprofessional. Beware !!!

I found Dr. Twisdale to be very thorough, patient and willing to listen. I never felt rushed and she took the time to explain things to me. during a particularly uncomfortable procedure, she demonstrated compassion and did her best to minimize my discomfort. I highly recommend her.

i LOVE HER. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DR TWISDALE FOR 16 YRS I BROUGHT MY DAUGHTER TO HER FOR HER FIRST GYN EXAM AND HAVE RECCOMENDED MANY PEOPLE TO HER. SHE WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING SHE IS DOING AND EXPLAIN REASON FOR TESTING IN A WAY YOU CAN UNDERSTAND. SHE IS ALWAYS PLEASANT AND TAKES THE TIME TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. EXAMS ARE NEVER RUSHED AND ALWAYS GENTLE
