We only had an initial consult with Dr. Rangel, and he basically told us to go elsewhere. He eluded to the fact that he does not work well with our dentist. My son had shown up for the appointment with my Father, and was not happy about being there, and having a bit of a tantrum, so he took him out to the car. When I arrived my son went in with me, and was calmed down . I believe we were turned away because I let them know that my son has autism. He kept his distance from my son and would not even touch him, as if he was afraid of him. My son is on the very top end of the spectrum and very high functioning. If your child is " normal" then I guess this orthodontist is ok for you. He was very negative about my son's treatment options, and all but escorted me out of the office. He clearly did not want our business.

Very knowledgeable and caring doctor. Spent a lot of time with us. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions. Why go somewhere else?

Dr. Rangel and his staff have always been helpful and kind. My daughter has loved going to every appointment and it's always on-time. His staff are outstanding as well! We couldn't have gotten a better specialist than Dr. Rangel.

I went to Dr. Rangel's office for my daughter and had a GREAT experience. He was very caring and listened to my concerns about my daughters teeth. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the office. I would recommend him to my friends

We went to Dr. Rangel for two reasons. First, to get an appliance taken off my daughter's teeth from her prior ortho in northern michigan. And, secondly, to check on getting braces myself. My daughter already went through braces, but the orthodontist said that she needs to go through another set of braces, and wouldn't agree to taking out the appliance unless our daughter goes through a full plan to include another set of braces. I felt pressured and cornered into agreeing, and I don't deal with those pressured circumstances well. So, we started the plan with a $400 down payment, but I came to my senses when I discussed the experience with my husband. The same day that we started the plan, I called my orthodontist back and told them we wouldn't be continuing with any other work through them. When asked, they said that they wouldn't return any of the down payment. This wasn't a disasterous experience, but I would never recommend Dr. Rangel's service to anyone as a result.
