Dr.Soh is basically a good psychiatrist, but she is way too conversative with medications. Based on a previous depression and treatment by another psychiatrist (in another town before I moved), I knew that I needed a certain dose of an antidepressant, but she would not initially prescribe that since it went over the FDA limit (good psychiatrists routinely go over the limit when necessary and have enough experience to know how far to go). Only after I had suffered for two months while she put me on another drug did she take me up to the over-FDA dose I needed and only then did I get better. Also, I referred a friend to her for depression. He was on a certain drug which was helping him partially but not enough. She made a good suggestion for an alternate drug, but insisted that he would have to completely go off the current drug before putting him on the new one. This would have been disastrous since he cannot be without an antidepressant.Old should have beeen ramped down and new one up.
