I have been seeing Dr. Paul Azer for 15 years. I was having problems with my thyroid for a few years, had several tests/scans. He recommended I have a Thyroidectomy and patiently explained all pros and cons of the procedure, he also recommended a great surgeon who would accept my insurance. I got the procedure done and I am so glad I listened to him, all I have to do now is just go in for a visit and blood test every year and every time, he makes sure my Thyroid levels are at the perfect range. He is really an amazing Doctor, so knowledgeable and caring. Recently I was having other health issues, which is not related to Thyroid or Dr. Azer's specialty but he ordered the necessary blood tests, figured what was wrong, recommended another great specialist which I needed to see , and even followed up with me on that. Even though getting to Dr. Azer's office is a one hour drive for me each way, I make my appointments with him even though getting to his office is a one hour drive for me each way because I know he is an amazing physician and I highly recommend him to anyone.
I need to mention that the office is very organized and people are friendly and the wait time is so little, I am almost called in as soon as I arrive to the office, isn't that great?

Dr Azer was kind, patient and took the time to explain everything I needed to know about the large growth on my thyroid. I will go back in 6 months to see him again. He biopsies were done in office, he was quick and through and explained what he was going to do before he did it. I'm amazed at the other reviews, it is true he doesn't waste time and is very business like but when I didn't understand he took the time to explain it in a different way so I did understand. I thought he was great.

I had previously seen my Urologist who took my blood and the results indicated that I did have a hormone problem. I was referred to the so "doctor" Azer. However, he does not deserve to be called a doctor.

Azer was rude, curt and without a bedside manner. He spent the entire time on his computer without looking at me. As a matter of fact, he proceeded to belittle me about my health relentlessly. Nevertheless, I gave him my prior labs evidencing a hormonal problem.
Azer did not want to hear it and cut me off. Rather, he called a good-looking nurse (I do not wonder why she works for him - it’s obvious) to take my blood. He gave me a 5-minute exam told me he would call in a week and never called.
When I followed up with a call over a week later, his secretary told me the blood test results just came in that day.
Azer had his secretary call back to lie that he left me a message on Monday saying I do not have a hormone problem. She could not reconcile the fact I was told the results came in that day with a premature diagnosis.
Azer is not fooling anyone. He is a bad liar and a worse doctor. He is over 70 years old and is in it for the money.

Worse Doctor I have ever seen. Rude, doesn't listen. 16 days and 3 messages later I got a call from his front office clerk to tell me everything was fine with the blood and no new prescriptions. Well, I was there because of three bad blood tests and I am not currently taking anything. Don't waste your time with this guy...categorically terrible in all sense of the word.

This is THE MOST horrible dr and staff I have ever encountered in my life! Hideous treatment of patients. They don't care about anything or anyone that comes into that office. I plan to report them to every possible place I can in hopes they shut him down.

Dr. Azer always seems like he's in a hurry but not really listening as much as he talks. He took me off one of my throid meds and said everything will be perfect. After 6 weeks, it wasn't. He took some blood work and the tests looked perfect so he gave me a perscription for the one medicine but it had a different name. I called his office 3 times with no return call. I did't want to take this new perscription without a reason from him. I had to call the after hours line and he basically told me he would call me in the morning and hung up on me. Very unprofessional. He could have taken 5 mintues to tell me why he gave me the perscription he did but hung up instead. I'm not going back. If you want your doctor to rush you out of his office and not listen to you then go to him but if not, do your research first.

He stood in the door and never came in the room during the two minute or so visit.

Dr Azer is a NO BS doctor. If you want a doctor that's direct, to-the-point and damn good at what he does Dr Azer's your man. If you want your condition gently sugar coated with a smiley face he's not for you. He's very frank about what I need to do to help my condition. I might not like what he says but I respect him because I know he honestly wants to help me. But if I don't do MY part he lets me know that he doesn't like it! In other words HE CARES. I enjoy warm, sweet, fuzziness as much as anybody but when it comes to my health I want Dr Azer. He's a VERY doctor and a very good man.

I really like this doctor, and he is known as being VERY VERY smart. And once you get to know him, he warms up. He has been very caring towards me. He was cross referred to me, by 3 of my other doctors. He is the doctors- doctor.
