After many years of going to the practice, I finally realized that Wachspress, I will not call him a Doctor, was ripping us off with high prices and services not required. The latest issue involves a sore tooth that I insisted was the tooth with an implant. Wachpress insisted that it was another tooth. After spending over $600 dollars and visiting Oral Surgeons that her recommended. They also agreed with me that it was the Implant tooth. The treatment he and Podolsky recommended was a Bone Graft. I went to another Dental practice and after 1 Xray and an Oral examination they determined it was the implant and said that a Bone Graft was not necessary. That there was ample bone to support the implant. They recommended instead a cleaning under the gums. They further said the implant that was placed by Podolsky should not have been cemented. Cemented implants leave spaces and problems like this can occur. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE unless you want to overpay for poor service and incompetant "Doctors".

I believe he is trying to loosen my teeth. When my cleaning is over he tries to move my teeth back and forth in a rough manner. Literally grabbing them between his thumb and forefinger and rocking them back and forth. He has tried to get me to have teeth pulled and replaced with implants. I have gone there for years for the hygienist and ignored all of his suggestions. I will not be going back.

RECKLESS AND NEGLIGENT.
Dr Wachspress should not be practicing dentistry. I would never recommend him or his practice Dental Arts of Garden City to anyone. I visited his office after endodontic treatment to have a crown placed on my tooth. He filed the tooth down to the gum compromising it so badly that only the post was securing the crown. As a result of his poor work the crown came off twice and the post is now broken inside the tooth. After numerous visits, he further damaged the crown by filing it down in attempts to correct his shoddy work and made excuses to justify why the post broke and why the crown kept falling off. He recommended that I see the endodontist to have the post removed from inside the tooth so he could replace it. Several dentist including the endodontist said he filed down too much of the tooth and removing the post would further compromise the tooth. In fact, the endodontist finding was that the tooth has “very guarded to poor prognosis and that extraction and implant was recommended.” After relaying this information to Dr. Wachspress he asked what I wanted him to do. He was told that because he filed down the tooth there was not enough tooth left to support a crown and the tooth will have to be extracted and replaced with an implant. I told him I expected him to correct his mistakes. He told me there was nothing else he could do for me and walked out of the examining room.
Please don’t be fooled by the reviews he only wants you to see. I am not the only patient who have suffered as a result of his poor work and inability to provide good dental care.

I'm a middle aged guy whose mother has been seeing Dr. Wachspress for the past six years. She kept mentioning to me how much she liked this guy. I've been pretty happy with my dentist and had no intention of changing. Unfortunately, I had the lousy timing to break a tooth just when my dentist was on vacation so I figured I'd try him. I hate going to dentists (and who doesn't?) but I found this guy to be really good. He was very reassuring, explained everything in detail and was very careful not to cause me any discomfort. To be honest, he asked me so many times if I was OK I was getting a little annoyed; just get it over with, is my philosophy. Best of all, he's got this fancy computerized machine and he made me a permanent cap in the first visit which is something I really appreciated since I can't take time off from work so easily. The thing fits me like it was always there. I've switched over to Dr. Wachspress permanently. Sometimes Mother really does know best!

I haven't had a Dentist I was happy with until I met Dr. Wachspress. He has a very calm demeanor and made me feel comfortable. He told me what I need while including me in the conversation. other Dentists I have been to "talked at me", he was not like that.

Great experience. The office is clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Wachspress was knowledgeable and caring. The procedures he did on me were painless and look fantastic. I would definitely recommend going here for your dentistry.

I would never recommend Dr. Wachspress to anyone. He only made my teeth worse and the poor quality of his work became damaged within days of seeing him. Apparently he hadn't bonded any of the fillings he did and my new dentist needed to redo EVERYTHING. I was actually told that the work Dr. Wachspress did was so poor it looked like the fillings were a decade old! Overall, he completely overworked my teeth and I had to get THREE root canals, all thanks Dr. Wachspress.

Avoid this place at all cost!! Constant sales pitches for procedures I didn't need or as about, socially inept dentist who destroyed my teeth (I had to go to another dentist, Dr. Stuart Kaminsky, who is excellent), I now need a root canal and opted for a widsom extraction instead of another root canal on that tooth. Oh and by far the worst experience with insurance claims in my life. Cancer survivor who has dealt with surgeons, numerous doctors, specialists, and all of them seem to know how to file correctly. Oh and to boot, when I called and spoke with the manager she gave me an attitude, even though I was correct about the misfiled claims. 3 months later, and I'm still dealing with that nightmare.
