My primary care dr referred me to dr messineo due to a complex hip problem. They fit me in the very next day. The receptionist in his office was super nice and helpful when I called. Dr messineo was the most compassionate orthopedic dr I have encountered in all my years having orthopedic surgeries. Dr messineo felt that the surgery I need is beyond what they could perform here in Norwood so he referred me to another surgeon at the baptist hospital. I can only pray that the dr he referred me to is as nice as he was. I need to call the office again on Monday to have a referral changed and I hope that his very nice secretary is there to handle it

The practice needs to invest in better receptionists/ secretaries. I found them to be rude and uncaring. After my son had some intensive surgery I needed a prescription refilled and was told it couldn't be done because it was Friday. They suggested that if he was in pain I bring him to the emergency room over the weekend! Not very good post-operative care! Unacceptable! I had to insist to speak to the doctor, I got to talk to a nurse and did get the prescription.

Office staff I found to be very rude, condensending and lacking any compassion. Due to their lack of caring I nearly lost my job. The Doctor advised me I could call him and it would only take 5 minutes to get a release letter in order to go back to work. Staff wouldn't let me talk with the doctor nor would they give me the necessary letter in a timely manner. My workers comp has been denied because they haven't submitted the medical records requested several times again jeopardizing my job as I am being penalized with disciniplary codes for not have the proper paper work.
