    It was my daughter's first visit here and they made it so wonderful. She's usually nervous at her appointments but they made her very comfortable from start to finish.

    This is one of the best people I have met in a very long time. This man is truly in his profession because he wants to help people. If you, a member of your family or a friend need an orthodontist, this is the man you want to see.

    The office staff and Dr. Horbaly was fantastic. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and that they cared about my concerns. Not once did I feel rushed or “I was just another patient”. I highly recommend this office.

    This the best orthodontist practice ever. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about the questions I asked.Best of all Dr.Horbaly took time to assess my teeth and gave me the best advise on what my treatment options were. I would 💯 recommend him.

    This is the 3rd practice we've visited in Charlottesville and I would say third time is the charm! Dr. Horbaly is patient, thorough, and kind. Christy was awesome! She spent a lot of time explaining everything to us throughout the process. I truly felt like they cared about me and my son. I wasn't just money in the bank to them, they are truly focused on caring and service. My son has anxiety and ADHD and honestly we've been treated poorly by other offices in the past; this experience was so different. We felt welcome and they took the time to explain things and answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back and I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone in the area! (Sidenote: I rarely post reviews but felt so grateful after our experience!)

    Biography

    Dr. Horbaly has practiced orthodontics in Charlottesville since 1996 with satellite offices located in Palmyra and Dillwyn. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his doctorate degree from the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Horbaly completed a general practice residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California and two additional tours with the Seabees. Dr. Horbaly earned his master's degree and specialty certification in pediatric dentistry from the Columbus Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University and earned a master's degree and specialty certification in orthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Horbaly is an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Virginia Health Systems Department of Dentistry where he mentors dental residents and is a member of the University's Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Team. At the University clinic, Dr. Horbaly provides orthodontic services for cleft lip and palate patients, patients with craniofacial disorders and medically compromised patients.
