These people (Unity Point Clinic) put the corporation ahead of the patient. They demand that you sign an agreement to be randomly drug tested before they prescribe scheduled drugs. This is all right, but then they want YOU to pay for it. Patients shouldn't have to pay $500 (yes, this is the price they quoted to me - no, my insurance won't pay for it) for a test that the CLINIC wants. This test in no way benefits the patient. It only benefits the corporate muckety-mucks who are paranoid about DEA entanglements. If you refuse the test, the docs will not prescribe the medication. How is this good patient care?
