Smartest doctor I ever met. Candid, personable, and diligent.

This review is geared towards his secondary office, the 1st Ave & River Road location.

The location is decent and the waiting room is comfortable. However, at least one of the procedure rooms was dirty, with thick black dust coating a door next to the patient's procedure chair. Everything "important" you come in contact with looks clean, but it seems the office itself hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in years.

The staff is all seemingly fresh out of school, new to the job and being trained as they go, which is fine, but there's no apparent experienced staff to oversee this process. I had to explain the issue I had brought my grandmother there for multiple times because the doctor couldn't get the explanation from his assistant, who is seemingly completely unfamiliar with podiatry. All of his staff speaks English only as a second language and while he speaks Spanish as a second language, neither speaks the others' language well, leading to potentially disastrous miscommunication. Dr. Quint even expressed to me that he was "practicing" his Spanish through his staff, on the job.

To the doctor himself... I think, as far as podiatry goes, he's likely serviceable. I visited him with my grandmother for a relatively minor procedure (toenail removal) and was satisfied with his performance. However, he failed to explain a lot of basics about the problem we came in for, and seemed entirely disinterested in talking about her follow-up care on the 2nd visit. Instead he chose to spend 15-20 minutes spewing potentially harmful misinformation about medical issues unrelated to my grandmother's care (Zumba will apparently cure clinical depression and women are all going to die of ebola). He even reinforced old, sexist myths about my mother's chronic pain, buying into the concept of hysterical pains. All before looking at my grandmother's foot! When I tried to educate him about the function of neurological disorders (something I have 20 years of experience with) and move the conversation away from the subject, which he had no authority or right to speak on, he spoke down to me and continued to push the subject through the entire appointment and even out into the parking lot.

If you can ignore or avoid these downright stupid comments and get in, get out, you may be satisfied with Dr. Quint. We won't be seeing him again.
