He was brusk and became irritated with my questions. I left feeling really afraid about my test results and not sure what to do next. I'm going to have to take my MRI result to another MD to find out what it means and what treatment is available.

Dr. Patel is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. I had a total hip replacement. He and his staff answered calls and made appts in a timely fashion. I always arrive early and he sees me before my appt. time. Dr Patel was open to and addressed all my questions and concerns. Dr. Patel treated me with kindness and professional excellence. I would recommend Dr. Patel to my colleagues, friends and family.

He rushed me, casted my hand and completly botched up the follow up. Thank God for the hand center at Cedars.. They saved my hand, where Dr Patel set it back in a bad way. He may be a good Orthopedic Doc, but not for a wrist break, that I'm sure about.I would never go back to him and would never recommend him.

I left displeased with my visit to Dr Patel. My ankle injury was routine and he spent less than 5 minutes with me - yet he charged me as much as I could possibly be charged (I have a deductible). Dr. Patel has a "new patient rate" which is close to double the normal rate at his office. Needless to say, I canceled my follow up appointment. But when all the paperwork was mailed to me, they had billed my insurance for X-rays, which they didn't take, and they billed my insurance over $500 for the air boot. I had been told at the time that this was a $20 co-pay for the airboot (and they had checked my insurance before) but they sent a bill to me later for what my insurance co. didn't cover... so this left a very bad taste in my mouth. You will be paying for Dr. Patel's Beverly Hills rent and not for his services. Don't bother going here.
