I've seen Dr. Summers for several years and I've never found her to be agreeable or pleasant. Nor was she helpful in alleviating my arthritis pain. Her attitude was one that seemed as if she did not care that I was in pain, nor did she suggest anything that would be helpful in treating it. I will not continue as her patient. She was on time, however.

Very disappointed on Dr. Summer and staff. Her lack of respond to a request I made in writing to her made me lose confidence on her ability to take care of my health needs.
I ask her to provide me with a letter summarizing my condition. I made follow up call the first two weeks and her assistance kept telling me that they will call me when the letter was ready. I made the point to emphasize that this matter was very important to me and that time was of the essence. By the fourth week I called two times, the assistance didn’t even bother to call me back.
I decided, after several years of she been my Rheumatologist, to terminate her services. It does not take weeks to write a letter, this simple act made me doubt her work ethics.

She walks in pinch me very hard on my fibromyalgia points, making me flinch in pain, then ask me why i have gain weight as my papers stated in my papers. As i started to tell her that since i could work for a year i was more sedentary she cuts me off and said very hatefully ..." so you decided to come here for dissability....". She got no respect for patients feelings, no compassion at all for patients of fibromyalgia. I stuck with her because because the personal where very caring and i liked the lab right there. When i finally had enough of her carelessnes and hateful coments I.look for another Dr. I finally got to know a professional and caring Dr who really help me and quickly diagnost to not only fibromyalgia but lupus and RA. When i got my files from Dr Laura Summers I got really upset about her hurtfull side coments on my files. Things like " She had poor Judment, " "she is fat because grossly overeating" etc. I even overheard her while I was waiting for the lab tech saying how she could not believe me. Even though she was the one who diagnost the fibromyalgia. Also commented on my files in each visit she says how i dont have anything i looked fine and dandy etc. At the end of each day file she put the test... All of them of the chart showing inflamation an markers for the sickness. I NEVER. Had such a mean and uncarring Dr. . i would give her a 000 on everything but i cant because yes she study therefore knowledge she does have. What she lacks is proffessionalism, compassion and caring.

Horrible doctor. She might be very knowledgeable, but is so cold that she would probably be more helpful to patients if working on research. Her nurse is so indifferent, took me 6 calls and 3 days to get an answer about a important concern I had, Do not recommend.

Dr. Summers office is the fast rheumatology office I have ever been seen as a patient in. And I usually arrive early. Some how they get me back right away, seen by the nurse, then Dr. Summers, and then the lab is right there for bloodwork. Easy. I used to block off afternoons for my Rheumatology appointments, and this office takes me about an hour. Dr. Summer's asks the right questions to see how I'm feeling and always listens when I have concerns and gives thoughtful answers. She took great care to see me during and after my pregnancy on a more frequent than usual basis, just to make sure I was doing well. I feel very secure having Dr. Summers be in charge of my arthritis.

Dr Summers saved my life!! She and Alicia ARNP, are an awesome team. I was diagnosed a few years ago with RA and as a nurse, it was very difficult for me to experience this as i am a caregiver at heart, not a patient. Dr Summers helped me keep things in perspective, remain calm and hopeful, when I would come in crying. She continued trying different meds, keeping me as comfortable as possible and encouraged along the way, as some of the meds failed to do the job effectively. Now, because of her determination, diligence and expertise, I am finally on a good med that is effectively manageing my RA for over a year now. I am so happy to be here. Thank you so much Dr Summers, I am forever in your debt for what you have done for me. To the office staff, thanks for your genuine kindness, and the times you guys made me laugh when I was ready to cry. It is often, the little things that keep the patients afloat. Agin thanks, Nita T.

I wasn't sure about how Dr. Summers and I would get along at first, but after being with her a year now I can say I am very glad she is my doctor. She has taken great care of me, my RA is very much under control and I am living a normal life again. Her staff is great, facility is clean and comfortable and would happily recommend her and her practice as a whole.

I have been seeing Dr. Summers for over a year for Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia . I have been very pleased with her and the office staff. She listens and helps to put me in touch with what I am feeling. Her office staff are always very helpful and friendly. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my appointment. I always have appreciated that.

I was referred by my PCP to this practice, I was sent all the new patient paperwork to have filled out for my 1st visit, approx. 8 pages, I filled it out thoroughly and brought it with me to my appt. which took 4 months to get and was told to be 30 mins. early to fill out any other paperwork.... i waited the 30 mins. plus another 1 hour and 40 minutes in the waiting room!! I was then put in a room and again waited 15 mins. to see her resident !!!! He never looked at all the paperwork I filled out, he took a look at one page and said "you sure have alot of things wrong with you" DUH... why do you think I was referred here?!!! When Dr. Summers came in finally she squeezed a few joints and said you have Fibromyalgia...OK so you can determine all that by squeezing my elbow?! I had b/w done and come to find out I have been diagnosed with LUPUS, I wish just because a young girl comes in with some medical anomolies that she had taken more time to get to know my history first. Disappointing!!!
