He 's a very stoic doctor, didn't not show care or compassion. . It made feel like he just wanted to move on to the next patient and the next and next. In one visit he didn't verbally tell me I had metastatic stage IV cancer. Instead he communicated that to me through the written treatment plan which he casually handed out to me on my way out. I was in shock when I got home and read it. Did he think I knew? Was he not in the mood to see someone crying? Did he just not care ? Who knows! Very unprofessional.

My Grandma was seeing Dr. Medellin and doing chemo on her, he was not informative during visits and what struck me odd when he started seeing her was that he didn’t give her any kind of diet and said that chemo would only buy her some time. Later we came to find out, when we went to get a second opinion, that he misinformed us and did not disclose other illnesses. She ended up having water in her lungs, cirrhosis of the liver, and turns out she had bone cancer instead of liver cancer. Which was clearly stated in the medical documents. Best advice is to do your homework and I am only disclosing this painful information so that no other family goes through this same heart ache.
