I found Dr. Y to be cold and uncaring. He was supposed to do an exam of me as part of the workup for a transplant; instead, without examining me at all, he pronounced me unfit for the transplant, effectively signing my death warrant. He tried to tell me that this was in my best interest but my other doctors disagree.

Dr. Kai (Jon) Yamaguchi, along with a few other surgeons, saved my life on October 22, 2008. He is a fantastic doctor, whom I miss terribly. What is Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, VT's huge, irreplaceable loss, is Honolulu, HI's greatest gain.
Dr. Y, if you are reading this, THANK YOU, and the best of luck to you!!!
