He cares only about making money from doing surgeries. Cares nothing about the patient as a person. Arrogant, talks and talks but you have to interrupt him to get a word in. His Clinic RN's are very incompetent send them a message through my chart they misconstrue and answer inadequately, not addressing the concern as written

He left me worse off after a $140,000 surgery. Blamed it on anything but himself. Talks, talks, talks. Needs to listen.

Stay away from this So called Doctor. I set up an appointment that I had to wait three months to see him. They called me back and said they need to reschedule . They had the nerve to accuse me of canceling the first time. I was ticked off.. They said the next time I can see him is July 20th. I told her that was after my surgery date with the other Doctor who was suppose to be my second opinion. I asked her why is it that it always happens to me? If I could rate a zero star I would. Don't waste your time with these jerk offs. All of them can bite me!

Very rude, very very rude. I'm wondering doc you had a copy of the card I was sent from Medtronic's you say is wrong. Why did you jump all-over me as a patient instead of picking up the phone and calling Medtronic's yourself to help me get to the bottom of why my I'd card is wrong. You did nothing but cut me off. You took advantage of myself and my insurance company by not taking matters into your hands to help. Another 10 hours driving n waste of both our time completely and my insurance company's. You should have tried harder instead of just ordering a million worth of more surgery in the 10 minutes you gave me. You could have called them and should have. Very disappointed. Now what are we gonna do...? Treat your patients with more respect.

Dr. Mendez was wonderful to listen to me,to do a very thorough exam, and give very detailed explanations and recommendations. He was called to surgery through much of the previous night but the staff still told me to keep my appt. since I was coming from another state. Another dr. had looked at my recent MRI, did a very brief exam, and told me I needed spinal fusion at multiple levels yet my symptoms were decreasing. I decided to do a 2nd consult with Dr. Mendez. He did not minimize the MRI but found there was not that much overall change in comparing the first and last MRI's taken 7 yrs apart. He listened carefully to my symptoms and asked lots of questions. After a thorough physical exam, he gave me detailed explanations about the MRIs and then advised me to not have surgery unless my symptoms worsened. My brother, a doctor, referred me to Dr. Mendez because he had had some patients with severe spinal situations who did amazingly well post op. I am a nurse and was very impressed with Dr. Mendez's bedside manner and his knowledge. His physician asst. also was very good, spending a long time with me before i even saw the doctor. If I could rate the Dr. Mendez and office staff as a 10, I would. So grateful for his honest advice and wisdom.

Dr. Mendez was great to work with. He knows what he is doing, which is very good when it involved my brain. He explained everything, so I knew what the plan was. He cared for me as a patient and I feel he has my whole well being at heart. I would recommend him to anyone in a second.
