My one visit with Hancock over a year ago still haunts me. In one of the darkest periods of my life, I sought help and was treated disrespectfully and condescendingly. I was referred to him by another therapist at Atrium Behavioral Health for specialized diagnostics and treatment, but Hancock kept asking me why I was there. He needs to take Psychology 101 again because he does not know how to show empathy and create a safe space for his patients. He knew I was actively suicidal but his behavior made it worse and he showed no concern for my well-being. It was humiliating and dangerous.
