Biography
Dr. Van T. Ha, Board Certified Dermatologist, grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Georgetown University where he graduated with honors. He subsequently received his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine. While at Duke, Dr. Ha was fortunate to obtain a research position in the Duke Hospital Department of Dermatology. It was during those years of basic science research and patient interactions in the dermatology clinics that he developed a passion for the field of dermatology. His hard work and dedication resulted in him receiving the prestigious Eugene A. Stead Research Scholarship. This allowed Dr Ha to finish his research of genetic causes of skin diseases hoping to aid in the search for treatments. He published these findings as first author in prestigious peer reviewed medical journals in his final year at Duke University. Dr. Ha went on to complete his residency in dermatology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, serving as chief resident in his final year. Wanting to be near where he grew up, Dr. Ha decided to go into private practice starting Loudoun Dermatology Associates in 1998.

Practice/staff attitude is POOR. Brusque. Office advertises being open to 5pm but telephone system often forwarded to AFTER HOURS system after 4pm with a "Our office is closed message." There is no other way to get through to the office. Long delays to get an appointment. GREAT experience from Dr. HA once you see him. Overall experience marred by the telephone experience before and after getting appointments set.
