Horrible Doctor! I had Ulcerative colitis. Within one year I had to have a total Colectomy with reconstructive surgery known as the the J-pouch. My surgeon Dr. Velasco from the mayo clinic had told me to find a gastrologist locally. I did, Dr. Peter Stanko. I was having complications from where the ileostomy bag was once located. So I made an appointment with Dr. Peter Stanko , told him there’s pain right where the The incision where the ileostomy bag was located and I was having chronic blockage. He told me it’s ghost pain! Didn’t even want to look at it! I had to walk out of the office. I contacted my surgeon Dr. Velasco where he had scheduled that day a CT Scan which indicated there was indeed scar tissue buildup in that area. He immediately penciled me in a dilatation that evening. There was a lot of intestinal bleeding and that section was temporarily paralyzed. Which required a night at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Peter Stanco isn’t a Doctor You want to see!

This doctor is evil. Please be careful with this one. He almost killed my daughter. His wife is a man and he's promoting the transhumanism agenda.

Dr Stanko did 2 egd for me with dilation. He explained everything to me and was very throughal. I felt no pain after either procedure. His nurse who returns his calls was always friendly. The nursing staff at St Mary's though was very unfriendly, downright rude. She split a cup of water on me and acted mad at me!! Today I got another egd done by a different dr since dr Stanko is no longer there. Wow what a difference my throat is killing me it feels my esphogus was ripped out the dr only said he dilated one stricture no mention of my hernia. When I made the apt I told
Them I felt like I was getting another diverticlus attack for the past month the ache was not going away. This new dr tells me oh wait and see maybe we will do a cat scan later who knows. Ummm what ???? Wait for what until I need a colostomy bag. I am hoping to find where dr Stanko went

YOU COULD NOT FIND A BETTER DOCTOR ANYWHERE IN THE FREE WORLD! Dr. Stanko brought me back from death's door and has closely monitored me since. He is kind, I never have to wait to see him and his staff is awesome. If there were more doctor's like Dr. Stanko, our healthcare would improve 100%. He is always dressed very, very nice - he has the patience of God when it came to me, he is just wonderful and, believe me, I would know, I've seen more than 20 doctor's in my lifetime and he rates number 1!!!!! God's blessings on Dr. Stanko and his medical and personal skills -- just the very, very best!!! Vikki Buss

This is a horrible person. He charged me twice for one procedure. While he was professional at the time he is in the end a crook. My condition has not been addressed and I keep getting bills. Dr Stanko and Prevea are the definition of what is wrong with healthcare. The world would be a better place without them.

I've been to Dr. Stanko many times. I actually have been calling in a lot for my unexplained side pain. He always seems to at least give some sort of effort to help. My family doctors are not helpful at all, one even told me "there is nothing wrong, don't do anymore testing" Well I'm not just going to give up and live with this side pain. Currently Dr. Stanko has prescribed levsin for possible IBS causing this. I'm going to give it a try. The only reason I'm not giving the staff a good review is, I called in one time, asking for a return phone call which wasn't returned in the time frame that was specified.. So I called back, was put on hold, but I could still hear the reception lady talking. She was telling the nurse that "that guy's on the phone again, I told him you would call him back! this guy is crazy.." then the nurse said "I know!" I just felt that was a bit unprofessional, and even kind of hurt my feelings somehow. But Dr. Stanko still gets a good rating!

Great bedside manner, willing to explain things to the patient. I have seen GI docs not talk to the patient having a colonoscopy at all, he came in before and after the procedure and explained it to me after. Very highly recommended.

Dr. Stanko is a very nice doctor. He was my upper endoscopy surgeon and not only figured out what my stomach problems were, he ordered blood tests and found other problems two other doctors missed. When talking to him, I felt like I was talking to a real person who cared about my concerns. Dr. Stanko is a very nice man and an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone with GI problems.
