Dr. Mike has performed surgery on three out of five members of our family--2 of us more than once. We were introduced to Dr. Wengler when he performed surgery to repair a broken hip on our then 12-year-old daughter. Since then, both my husband and I have had numerous steroid injections performed by Dr. Wengler, as well as two surgeries each. Dr. does treat you like family, as another patient pointed out in his review. Dr.,Wengler is professional, extremely personable and down to earth, as well as very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of his field. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Wengler to any and all of our family and friends. We've never met a dr who is so down to earth, spends as much time with you, as you need, and always makes sure all your questions are answered, before proceeding with next steps.

This doctor diagnosed my mallet finger. I had to drive directly to TRIA Orthopedic after leaving Fairview. I had Xrays and a report from Urgent Care with the right dx, but Dr Wengler dug in his heels and wouldn't change his opinion even though he didn't even EXAMINE MY HAND/ FINGER. He is terrible. Don't go to him at Downtown Orthopedics either!!!

This is a horrible MD. I dislocated my finger and he basically blew the injury off. I need PT but he did not suggest it. Gave me wrong brace. Told me I suppose I could send you to PT but all you will do is squeeze a ball. Very arrogant statement as I had finger injury before and not once did I do anything with a ball. Soft tissue injuries need PT! Then he over charged me.

My son saw him for knee pain and he was basically told to "deal with it." That "he has bad knees at a young age and I am not going to give him anything to help with that, just get used to it." To add insult to injury, his nurse walked in the room and told my son to leave the room, that the dr was done even though he said he would come back for further questions.

Straight shooting, no nonsense. excellent physician. He treats you like family, not a customer. My surgical results were perfect. I would, and have, recommended him to anybody.

I saw him for back pain. His treatments did not help at all. He planned a horrible surgery for me. I met another doctor and he figured out what it was. I am glad I did not get the surgery. No surgery at all.

Completely lacking in caring, to the point of being offensively rude. I would bet Dr. Wengler is a good surgeon, but really needs to take some compassion lessions.
