This doctor is super arrogant and does not work with the patient. Had a TMJ consult. This is a major surgery and he said he'll have residents do the surgery, so use the patient instead of the cadaver specimen so inexperienced doctors can gain experience? I am sure if it was his daughter on the table, he would not let any inexperienced surgeons touch her. He has a patent on Biomet TMJ implants and pushes that implant on you. It is a stock prosthesis and there is a custom prosthesis available for TMJ, which provides for much better fit, less trauma during surgery, shorter surgery time and less risk for nerve damage. However, Dr. Quinn still uses stock prosthesis. He must get a cut from the manufacturer since this is his device. Would not recommend anyone to use this guy for any surgery. I heard from other doctors and patients who went to him that he is really arrogant and not an honest doctor. Too bad such low quality professionals are allowed to run the oral surgery department at UPenn.
