It's against the law for any doctor to refuse you your medical files. File a. Complaint with hippy, then file a complaint with pennsylvania medical board, your insurance carrier and state Ttorney genneral

tried to find a new doctor, when Chimahosky found out, he call my pharmacy and canceled all my refills, and refused to see me, I ask for my medical records, he refused, I downloaded a form for release and he still has not turned over my records. It has been over a month a new doctor will not see me with out my papers and I'm running out of my meds. And no one will help me with my papers.

big snow fall, had heck of a time getting my car out for my appointment...got there , the doors aRE LOCKED caant get in front or back...a man come to the door and told us he had his first appointment that day with Dr. Chimahosky and we said we had an appointment also..well no one got phone calls saying they were not going to be opened and we should not come....we told them about it but they didnt care we came out and had to drive that far for them to be a no show...and that poor man didnt know what to do when the dr. didnt show up for his first appointment...no decency in caring for his patients...in a snow storm and not caLLING THEM ...HE WAS GOOD AT FIRST.. but then he just would brush us off when we told him we had pain or whatever...any doctor who dont take a blood test on his patients is not a good caring doctor

Very disappointed in the Dr's Office Prodigal! I was one of his first patients, when he first moved to town. He was advertising for new patients. I have referred 3 other patients, to his office. I might visit the Dr. once a year or every two years. Always, seemed to have a hard time getting through to office. Always, get answering machine. And when the receptionist FINALLY returns your call, it is hours later.
BUT, this time, I got NO RETURN CALL. I called 11 days ago, 8 AM in morning. Office girl, answered. Told her I was having severe pain in right shoulder, down right arm, non-stop pain. She told me she would check computer to see where she could put me in. Well, after waiting 2 hours, NO call. So I of course, really getting concerned about the pain. I called a 2nd time. Got answering machine, left message. Well, 2 more hours, pass by, NO call! I once again call Dr's Office, get machine, AGAIN. I asked them if they could please let me know something or should I make other arrangements. So by now 4 whole hours, have gone by, no call, no nothing. So then I FINALLY get a return call back 4 hours, later. The office girl said: Take Advil or Aleve an if you still have pain, call back in a week! You mean, it took them 4 hours, to come up with that solution. That's the best advice they could give me?? No appointment, no questions, no concerns, no treatment options, no nothing!! So after, suffering with severe pain, in the right shoulder and down my right arm, I took Advil and Aleve, for 8 days, straight, around the clock. That's what the Doctor, ordered. I lost my appetite, still had pain, but now I was worried about stomach bleeding from taking too much Advil & Aleve. Blizzard came the following week. So I- like everybody else was snowed-in, for several days. I knew, if they would not give me appointment when there was no snow, surely, they would not give me one, with the snowstorm. So I waited 11 days, today, and called ONCE AGAIN. Their hours, are 8 AM. so I called 8:10 AM. Surprise, surprise, got the answering machine, AGAIN. I left a message, asking for an appointment, reminding them, they told me to call back in a week, for an appointment.
Well, waited 2 and a half more hours. Then decided I would be waiting a long time, for them to return my call. So went to ER room, for my pain. Which I had non-stop for 11 days, since I first tried to make appointment. The ER treated me and told me what was wrong, and sent me on my way. All that waiting and enduring the pain, waiting for the Doctor's Office to call me back.
By-The-Way, they NEVER did return my phone call. I made the right decision, to go to the ER. So now, I am left with finding a new Doctor. One that is reliable and cares about their patients. I don't know, maybe it is my Insurance. It probably isn't the best. Maybe that's why they did not care, to help me. But, a simple return, phone call, would have been suffice. Instead, they had no concern or professional courtesy, for the patient's well-being. Isn't that why they take an Oath, in the first place?!
Along with the office not answering the phone, during regular office hours, and not returning calls. Not sure if I can be disappointed in the Doctor or maybe the office girl, who intercepts, all the phone call. Maybe she wasn't even relaying the message to the Doctor?? Because the previous visits which I did have with the Doctor, he was very nice. And he seemed to know what he was talking about. But, it is a shame, that because of poor, office tactics, he has now lost my trust and confidence, as a Doctor. Maybe now that he has established a practice, he does not care about the patients, like in the beginning. He can afford to lose a few patients, especially if their Insurance is not the best. No, I would definitely NOT recommend this Doctor. His uncaring, unprofessional manner and office staff, has left a painful experience. And not in my shoulder.
Also, I know of patients, that were recovering from a life-threatening illness, that had to wait a long time in the waiting room, for a check-up.
Disappointed ex-patient.
P.S. Maybe if they are that busy they don't have the decency to return phone calls, they should hire extra help?! After-all, it is a Doctor's Office, not a chat room. All calls should be taking serious and with care and respect! Thank-You.

I am astonished at 2 things in reading the Reviews about Dr. Chimahosky. Who has been my Primary care physician for about 4 years. (*He was initially referred to me by a Family member who said her friend that was pregnant and couldn't find many Dr.'s in Schuylkill County that would take her insurance after Dr. Chimahosky did take her and her insurance she was so happy with the care he provided and time he spent with her, today she has a 5 year old and said QUOTE: "He is THEE ONLY Dr. in the County that considers taking most insurance and ALSO TAKES CARE OF YOU."... It would be unfair and not possible for me to say no other Dr. does care as much. But as far as Dr. Chimahosky & the time he listens, cares, asks interactive questions and for all the right reasons became a Doctor; I think he is extraordinary. The respect, honesty, benefit of the doubt in helping treat his patients out of the perhaps 7 or 8 different Primary Care Physicians Dr.'s I have had in my life-time; there is NOBODY BETTER.

*I couldn't help notice the 2 negative reviews that while he may not just write a script like most Dr's and say NEXT?... I could and would vouch for him that he is the LEAST Careless Dr. I have ever had; and most considerate and the most Caring in every way possible. And he would never disregard a patients feelings on ANY medical matter. And if it were out of his area of Expertise with any doubt immediately sets up (and has set up arrangements to promptly refer (you)/ie. Me to a Specialist in Network Provider (examples: podiatrist, for a severely infected ingrown toe-nail, and Neurologist for chronic numbness in a finger years after a broken bone)

**I have never taken this much time to write a review about any Healthcare Provider have no relation direct or indirect to Dr. Chimahosky or any of his current or previous staff.

That I can say as certain as I could possibly be sure the 1st several recommendations below mine accurately sum up this Dr. and any negative or personally and professionally insulting comments below even it it was only 1 or 2. I know this Dr. does ALL that he can and MORE to HELP his patients as well as the 1st line of the Oath he took as a Dr. to "Do No Harm." He cares as much as any Dr. I could imagine that when I fall short of my life goals or health follow-ups on occasion I feel guilty like I personally let him down, and could only feel that way if he didn't genuinely invest so much time and compassion in my well being; and not sure I would still be here without him. I without ANY reservations Highly Recommend Dr. Chimahosky. Thank you!

Takes his time and really cares. Spent a great deal of time to actually work toward solving the problem instead of just pushing out the door with a script.
