I went to see Dr. Birns a few days ago and he was very rushed and did not come across as a physician wanting to help a patient. He did not answer my questions and was not patient in listening to me about my symptoms. He even dismissed one of my serious symptoms as "that happens from time to time." I have been treated by the other doctor in the practice previously, Dr. Klein who is far more thorough and caring, and overall a much more knowledgeable doctor with better bedside manners. I would not recommend Dr. Birns to anyone. Dr. Birns may be able to get away with being so impersonal and dismissive in areas such as family practice or dentistry, but certainly not in urology.

Excellent doctor! Highly recommend! Takes time to explain everything and welcomes questions. Never felt rushed. Very thorough.

Great doctor. Very knowledgable and caring. Allowed me access via cell phone after procedure and called me to see how I was doing.

Great Doctor. Diagnosed me w/ testicular cancer - very responsive and competent. Been seening him since Sept 2004. Would highly recommend him to anyone.....

Rushed and unfriendly. Seems technically competent but would avoid this guy.
