Kind, courteous, punctual(even early), helpful planning multiple appointments on the same day since we had to travel, knowledgeable, precise in giving information!!! So happy we started our journey with Dr. Uzzo at Fox Chase!!!

After being diagnosed at my hometown hospital with renal cell carcinoma, I had an opportunity for a second opinion. I was refered to Fox Chase Cancer Center, but more specifically Dr. Uzzo. I immediately looked at his credentials. His education, research and knowledge is outstanding!
Once meeting with Dr. Uzzo, I could tell that he was the doctor I wanted for my surgery. His confidence and poise made me feel that I was in the best hands. He informs you to all the possibilities and/ or complications many times prior to surgery, so that you have an awareness of possible outcomes. He is a doctor that takes his time to come to a decision about your situation. He affords you the opportunity to ask as many questions necessary . With that being said, I chose Dr. Uzzo as my surgeon. It was the best decision of my life! My outcome was better than expected. I highly reccommend Dr. Uzzo, his entire staff, and the entire Fox Chase Canter Center Network.
You won't be disappointed.

One of the things that stood out to me about my appt w dr uzzo was how he was about his time w me. I know he’s a busy guy but he took the time w me to sit down w me about this diagnosis n give any time I needed to have this conversation. Much appreciated how he was about it.

Dr. Uzzo
After an extensive review of doctors specializing in surgical oncology, both in state and out of state, I selected Dr. Uzzo at Fox Chase, albeit out of state and a bit of a commute. I had an incidental diagnosis of Renal Cell Carcinoma on my left kidney, via an ultrasound. While there are many excellent surgeons both at Fox Chase and elsewhere, my selection of Dr. Uzzo was the best decision of my lifetime. His experience, combined with his education, publications and reviews across all websites drove this decision. He is politely direct, explains in detail all of the various possible outcomes and spends the time needed to answer all of your questions without rushing, both pre and post surgery. In addition he has a very thoughtful, calming and confident demeanor. His RN (Sue) is extremely helpful and caring as well as the other staff members on his team and there are many.

As far as the Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC) goes, it’s without a doubt the most efficient, organized health care facility I’ve ever been exposed too. From the first call and throughout every department, each departmental contact has been pleasant and helpful. The online portal quickly reflects your visits, report summaries and upcoming scheduled visits.

In summary, many thanks to Dr. Uzzo and his staff at FCCC for their support and surgical expertise. It’s a first class hospital with a matching staff!!

How do you thank a Dr. that has probably extended my life eight to ten years? I have read all the great descriptions of Fox Chase Cancer Center. They are all true. Others may be as good but none better. Dr. Uzzo and his staff saved 70% of my kidney and I am very grateful. Modern medicine is only an advertisement on television...until it strikes home in a very, very, personal way. I was introduced to "internal" medicine in a very up close and very personal way and to people I never met and have a great respect for them. When it's personal, it is very immediate. You give your life over to professionals you just met. Somehow you wake up on the other side and become "better" for it. Sincerely, George Keith and my home support staff.

Dr. Uzzo treated me for bladder cancer and removal of my right kidney. I'll be forever thankful for his skill and professionalism. He never hesitates to spend the time to answer questions, ask about your health or any concerns you may have. Dr, Uzzo has the bedside manner so many others in this profession are lacking which makes you feel like you're speaking with a family member. I would recommend him to anyone and thankful that I have him.

Totally impressed with Dr. Uzzo. He and his team are exceptional. Very good bedside manner as well as detailed in the office on the path we will be heading down. I went through a life changing event and was in great hands. I can't recommend him highly enough!!

When my local Urologist discovered a mass in my kidney in a extremely difficult location for removal, He referred me to Fox Chase Cancer center. At Fox Chase Dr. Robert Uzzo was able to remove the mass and save 90% of my kidney. Not only is Dr. Uzzo a highly skilled surgeon, he also listened to any and all of our concerns and gave us the reassurance that we were in the best hands having chosen Fox Chase. Only a week and a half after surgery my wife and I enjoyed a lovely day at "Longwood Gardens". Thank You again Dr Uzzo and your team at Fox Chase for giving me excellent care and guidance through a very difficult time.
